Mintop 2% Solution 120 ml belongs to the class of ‘vasodilators’ used to treat alopecia (hair loss). Mintop 2% Solution 120 ml stimulates hair growth and slows down the process of balding. Alopecia is the thinning or loss of hair on the scalp or any part of the body.

Mintop 2% Solution 120 ml contains ‘Minoxidil’, a vasodilator that widens the blood vessels. This vasodilation process helps provide oxygen, blood, and nutrients to the hair follicles, thereby preventing hair cell death and promoting new hair growth. 

Your doctor will suggest the dose and duration based on your condition. Some common side effects of Mintop 2% Solution 120 ml include changes in the colour/texture of the hair, excessive hair growth, headache, itching, skin irritation, dryness, shortness of breath, scaling of the skin, and redness. These side effects usually do not require medical attention and gradually resolve during the treatment. If the side effects persist or worsen, consult a doctor.

Do not apply Mintop 2% Solution 120 ml on shaved, inflamed, infected, irritated or painful scalp skin. Before using Mintop 2% Solution 120 ml, let your doctor know if you have high blood pressure, sunburn, eczema, psoriasis, heart diseases like angina (chest pain), a recent heart attack, and circulation disorders. Mintop 2% Solution 120 ml not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women.
