Cancer is not. But those with cancer are immunocompromised and hence much more prone to infections.

do not know of this brand, but for Biotique… close acquaintances within production and sales (back in 2006-2009) often told us how the management insisted that liquids (like shampoo, scrubs/ face wash, other such products) ought to be mixed with a large fresh batch.
So yeah, Biotique (like many other premium brands) would resell the expired or unsold stock returned by their dealer network , after repackaging.


But i ordered it for funsakes, hoping this to be a one time or periodic marketing campaign.
Ultimately i would prefer made to order custom boxes in which we can keep odd sizes like 10 20 kilogram bags of grain or flour too.

i am just hoping that refurbished stock would be easy to identify (finish, marks or visible wear tear… especially the hinges).

The tubelight assembly from Philips too are were not really over 600 rupees till even February 2020, for project sales (B2B sales).
so if they do get it at the right price point, selling such stuff at 2000-2500 for short durations, IS possible.

1》 the package DOES need assembly, as the legs (as shown in the images/ mentioned by other buyers) are not attached.

2》those “legs” are missing in the cargo box.

` 2 (a)》 it was a gift to our relative’s address and even the invoice is missing in the carton.

3》 the manual too is absent.

… but the larger concern is, that

4》 the slight but clear scrubbing marks at one corner, makes one feel that the paint job got damaged by someone trying to clean off the tape mark/stickiness. … so maybe our relatives received a previously returned item and the brand (or the seller) re-stocked it without adequate care (which is such a sad/ unprofessional thing to happen, isn’t it?)

5》 the lid design is pretty flimsy and a risky thing to use if kids are around.

The hole/ mechanism meant as a failsafe.. can EASILY be accessed. ..and kids in our homes are too curious and “toofaan”. If they put a thin pencil or pin in that gap and switch the unit ON.. then the UV-C rays/lamps will work.. EVEN WHEN the lid is open!

6》 for testing, we operated it twice in quick succession (4 minutes + 4 minutes). there is a distinct odour (smell) of either the paint, or the gasket and the insulation of the supply wiring visible.. having decomposed or ‘burnt’ (although burnt is not the exact/correct word, but whatever the source/cause of that odour is, we surely wouldn’t want that to happen to fruits, vegetables.
