Don't activate upi lite - it is risky - it will enable one click payment and don't ask for upi pin. Activate it on your own risk.

It is only for low amount transactions and having to not click pin for 10-100rs transactions in shops is a boon.

Add money to UPI lite .UPI lite option will be visible while making payment.it will not require any pin .
PrasenN wrote:It debits from topup made, think of it as upi wallet. The txns done using upi lite won't be visible in your bank acc statement which will only show the upi topup made. You will get the notification from bank though for upi litx txns made.Ho does lite work? Does it debit from the wallet topup made, or does it debit from bank account linked for UPI

It is actually safer,
1. Saves you from the stuck UPI payments/network issues/people peeping in your phone when you type password.
2. Reduces the number of petty transactions in your bank account and avoid closure or current account conversion requirement.
You can take the risk of small amount of Rs. 200, just like in wallet.
5 on 300..guess everybody is getting 5 only

Amazon money Wallet already supports one click txn. And it protects yor bank account also. Same for ICICI Pockets. And it helps remove all those multiple small txn from the bank stmt.
So UPI lite may not be all that evil. But its not the only option and more useful only if you frequently travel to remote places where network can be an issue.
