Good Pricing atleast during sale time. Pixel are about sw+ camera+ experience and not hardware. If you want hardware go for chinese budget range. Most probably people will complain 6months down the line for shitty ads+ updates etc on those. 1lens on pixel is better than 3 on those budget phones.

6-7 hrs. SOT according to Online Reviews. 4000mah battery was expected. But it is a compact & lightweight phone in comparison to other Android Bricks. Good Phone.

Camera (& compact size) is the differentiator. Any other good camera offerings from brands like Samsung, Apple or from Pixel itself in similar price range?

From a hardware point of view it is overpriced to the hilt. From a quality and software perspective it is overpriced cos nord exists. I am not sure why someone would want a 2016 sensor for photography, also a subpar screen also a tiny battery, also the nord exists and the iphone SE sells in sales for 33k nowadays for a non chinese option.

Also the depreciation for pixel phones is dipshit. Save your cash and virtually buy anything else from apple, samsung or oneplus

That 2016 sensor with google image algorithm, produces better pics in almost all cases against the Nord. So, Pixel 4a is still a very good bet, if camera is a concern.

Now people will start comparing it with realme,redmi, nord etc. But stock android with better brand reputation doesnt needs any comparison. Will go for it for sure.

Pretty good pricing IMO considering how bad it has been for Pixels historically. Its relatively compact and lightweight form factor allows it to carve a small niche for itself justifying the price premium. Battery life is also significantly improved as per reviews. And software trumps hardware almost always.

Kindly suggest between Pixel 4a or Iphone XR (during BBD sales) ?

The premium midrange segment 25k to 30k should be very exciting for foreseeable future, esp. in India.

Google should have put Pixel 4A 5G (sadly, they are not launching) instead of Pixel 4A and Samsung might still entice shoppers in this segment (around 30k net inclusive of offers) with S10 Lite (with SD 855) and finally SE and XR on the heels of this segment.

Interesting to see what OnePlus does as it has always chest thumped at giving more value offering relative to Samsung and Apple in premium segment!

Love this compact phone but pricing is meh .. I was expecting 25k for these specs.

Pixel 3A was 40k and now 4a is 30k they priced aggressive this time, considering declining ruppie value and higher duty taxes and gst. Its best camera phone under 30k+ 3 years of os updates.

People don’t understand the difference between choice and purchasing power.

When your deep pocket is loaded with tons of money, you have choice to buy a diamond studded Gold iPhone like Nita Ambani.

But where every rupee matters in deciding your budget, hence purchasing power is highly restricted, there whether its chinese, whether its shit or crap item, one is forced to buy the product available within his/her budget.

Purchasing power of India and Bharat is completely different and in fact completely opposite.

There are people who are spending thousands or lakhs in throwing just 1 night party while that same money amounts for annual earnings of an entire family for combining 2 to 3 years togather.

So those who buys Chinese shit they have compulsion of buying it because so called flagships are way beyond their economic reach.

The pricing is not worst when compared to previous launches of Google. But They could have made it blockbuster hit if it was launched at 25k and with 10% cards discount they could have sold it in millions till the end of this year. There is no market for Pixel in India , under 20K there is Mi, Samsung, Realme. 20-30K there is M51 and Nord. In 30-50K there is OnePlus , iPhone, Samsung. There is no price segment where Pixel sell out the competetor. Google has to make a segment and focus on that. People love overall up-to-date phones not a Good Camera phone alone. Yes with SD765 and 4000mah battery ( Yes talking about Pixel 4a 5G) at 30K could have attracted 25-45K segment buyers easily.

Just for reference, the Pixel 4a costs about 380 dollars after tax in most US states (retail prices 349 USD or 25,600). That’s equal to about 28k. Add to that import tax and 18% GST (in most US states, the tax is about 10%), IMO it’s a very competitive price. Forget the import duty, 18% tax on MRP of 25,600 is about 4,600. So even without import tax, the phone would cost 30 000+. Pricing it at 25k would have meant Google taking a loss and no company would sell their phones at a loss.

Dimers who use Pixel 3a or OnePlus Nord are requested to post their Screen On Time (SoT) here so that others are better informed before making the purchase of Nord or 4a!!!
