Apply the code after installing the app. Then in settings->My Account, you'll see Membership status as pro.
Then log in with google/apple. Then in settings->My Account, you'll see Membership status as pro along with your email id.
I signed in with google after applying the code and then uninstalled the app, reinstalled it and did not apply the promo code. Instead I just logged in and I was still able to see the membership status as "pro".
If you have logged in once and applied the promo code, you can login again later even after uninstalling to restore the membership status.

Shows could not redeem code
Apply the code after installing the app. Then in settings->My Account, you'll see Membership status as pro.
Then log in with google/apple. Then in settings->My Account, you'll see Membership status as pro along with your email id.
