What is the point in adding a graphics card when your processor itself is GPU (3400g)?

3400G APU with 1650? why the hell one would pair an APU if they already have a GPU for display.

3400G+450 Motherboard – 23.5k on Amazon
GTX 1650 – Insane pricing at the moment so expect somewhere around 20k though if it was a normal day then the price would have been around 11~12k (which we shouldn’t expect in 2021)
RAM – 3.5~4k (bad selection of RAM frequency, I would buy 3000Mhz or 3200Mhz because these Ryzen processors need fast ram)
Hard Disk Capacity: 1 TB – 3000
SSD Capacity: 256 GB – 3200~3500 depending on which one you buy (these are SATA HD but for additional 500 more we can get Lot faster Nvme drive)
Cabinet – 3000 +/-
Wifi + Bluetooth ~ 1500
SMPS – Not sure which one they are using, a decent 500~600W bronze certified SMPS will cost around 5k

If we consider SMPS price as 3000 then the final price would be 60k so its not a steal deal and many compromises have been made. Only thing that can change everything is the price of 1650 as it can go to 25k in couple of days or more so if you can find a GPU on your own then build a system manually. Just my POV

OEMs aren’t really affected by the price swings as they source the components directly from the manufacturers, AMD and Nvidia in this case.
Plus one can’t be sure how neutered the BIOS might be.

I don’t get it ..so how is this a bad combo? I heard good things about 3400G and the GPU working well together and this is actually quite popular it seems.

Its not bad but we can get better product for the same price and can choose better parts. Also Last I checked Vega GPU won’t boost 1650 performance and will simply be disabled so why pay for something we are not going to use where as R5 3600 is a dam good and proven performer along with new 550 chipset. Secondly we have slower ram with this one and Vega GPU uses shared RAM meaning system will have even less amount of Ram for all other processes.

Considering we can somehow find a good deal for a GPU @ 20k then we can build lot better PC in remaining budget

Ryzen 5 3600 + Gigabyte B550M DS3H = 17.5 + 8.5 = 26k (This is a good combo and I am using it personally)
Pair a Gen 3 250gb Nvme SSD and your system will fly along with 3000Mhz Ram

As everyone said, its a good deal for those who are not familiar with building a PC (even they can ask for config and go to a shop so all parts of there choice can be assembled)
