bro that’s just stereotype. My mom is using Realme X7 Max from last 8 months without any issue. The phone had been dropped several times. Also battery holding up well too. Can easily last her 3-4 years.

Iphones are manufactured in China too… Not favouring China but …..Realme makes good phone and its possible that your phone die in 2 days and that is not realme or any other brand its just the way electronics work
The difference is Apple and like brands has less % for defect but they can manufacture defects too.

Realme is a decent brand which provides value for money phones and they do cost cutting in several other areas.

Waiting for some Indian brand to make solid phones that can challenge these Chinese

Maybe the software isn’t optimised enough. Poco F1 running custom ROM from day one delivered 5-7%/h active drain during web browsing over 4G whereas in case of  RN10 Pro on stock MIUI  its 8-9%h on avg. despite  a 25% higher capacity battery. Vi 4G was pretty good back then but it’s significantly improved in the last several months in my locality so network isn’t a factor. Can’t wait to ditch MIUI ASAP.

SD888 is a heater . Simple task makes the phone too hot which ultimately deteriorates the battery life. SD Gen 1 has the same problem.

Wait for actual reviews. YouTubers never discusses the problems in phone like battery backup and heating issue.

1. I’m using it too, no such issues here. Try disabling useless apps. Using A12 update

2. The charger charges the phone from 20-30% to 100% in 20mins(didn’t check exactly).

Did you update to Android 12? After I did, phone battery life is better. The previous update A09 really messed up battery life for me from 9 hours to 5 hours but now after A12, battery is better around 7 hours. No gaming just 4g,youtube, music.

using Arrow A12 rom on Note 10 pro max, smooth but same battery drain like MIUI. Current state of A12 roms aren’t battery friendly plus twrp doesn’t support A12 decryption, so if you flash A12 rom, you need sdcard to change new rom. Just make sure of that.

Yes I aware of the A11-specific issues. Haven’t updated my F1 to A12 yet and since RN10 Pro will be used by my father I am gonna wait at least another month or two. I haven’t even updated the MIUI version. Idle drain at least is surprisingly good at under 0.1%/h in 2G and 0.3-0.5%/h in 4G with Sync on. In the latter case F1 used to average close to 1%/h. If nothing else when I switch to AOSP I can be rid of MIUI’s nonsensical background app killing and sub-par RAM management.

As per some reports SD 8 Gen 1 Plus might not be much better despite TSMC 4nm. Cortex X2 seems to be a power hog. I haven’t checked around but with root it might be possible to tune the DVFS to favor more power efficient frequencies.

Good point. Using OnePlus 9RT and phone heats up easily without gaming, with causal browsing and YouTube even after having vapour chamber cooling tech.

I upgraded from K20 Pro powered by Snap 855 and the 9RT with 888 doesn’t feel like a night and day difference. Infact K20 Pro with 4000 mah battery had longer battery endurance than what I am currently getting with 9RT.

Why are they taking so long to release D9000 based phones in India? I’m waiting for them for so long..

If the phone is going to be used by your Father, please stop playing around with custom roms.

Use debloat tool and let it be. Second option: use xiaomi.eu rom which is already debloated and you can further debloat few remaining mi apps like clock, calculator etc and install Google replicate apps.

MIUI isn’t bad for our Parents if debloated, it’s bad for geeks like us in any form. Just my opinion.

All the devices used by my father till date have run custom ROMs! I make sure to only choose super stable ones, usually crDroid or AEX. LOS and PE could be even better as far as stability is concerned but very limited customization is off-putting.

I can understand. Those stable days are gone now with F1 and X3 Pro.

Most of the sr devs left the scene already. Rest you are pro.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I upgraded to Android 12 and UI3.0 now. but not seeing any considerable improvement.
