Free RAM isn’t really a reliable parameter when it comes to Android as its designed to use as much RAM as possible to cache frequently used apps for ex. For anything running A11 esp. if root isn’t possible, 3GB RAM is the absolute bare minimum for reasonable multitasking but 4GB is much better. These observations hold true for AOSP. No idea about ColorOS. Since tablets are usually in operation for a fair few years and newer Android versions keep demanding more resources I would steer clear of the base variant.
