I remember me getting Nokia 6630 which was 3g mobile when 3g network wasn’t around. And because of defense issues 3g got delayed…. And later 3g came with exorbitant rates.

Never used 3g at all in my life.

And in 4g/lte times we get 3g speeds most of the times or even less.

5g is Kya ghanta change gone Wala he…. Jaise bago me Bahar hai….

Our own state operator is busy giving 2g speeds on 3g network. So forget about acche din with 5g.

5G will take years before it is launched. Trial hasnt started. Government has put exorbitant price for spectrum(highest in world) which even jio isn’t ready to pay.. We dont even have proper lte advance network.. Many spectrum band needed for proper 5G isnt being freed up for defense and weather satellite . and for 5G operators need to deploy additional towers, upgrade towers etc etc . and only big cities will initially get 5G which will be only by 2023

So if you do think of buying a 5G as being future proof just think of the time frame (2025 perhaps) and how advanced 5G modem and chipset will be at that time and available in mid range (₹15,000)

Beside current snapdragon doesnt have integrated 5G modem so uses more battery and increased heating.

S20 series is cheaper in India cause they didnt include 5G in India stating it will take years before it is launched and thus cost less than usa counterparts

Simple below 30k vivo, oppo, realme, mi, poco, above 30k samsung, oneplus, above 60k google plus, iphone. No one will buy above 30k realme phones..5g phones ah what a joke. 4g signal is not good in some areas.

its too costly you can wait for 2-4 months oneplus next device may have 5g if 5g is your only concern and considering its realme. My opinion is if you are buying phone between 7-25k then onlly consider these brands like mi, realme, vivo, oppo. If your budget is greater than that go for other premium brands.

Agreed with all the comments about buying a 855 phone which has integrated modem plus is cheaper now. But guys while buying make sure the device supports carrier aggregation. K20 pro, realme x2 pro, poco x2 , etc doesnt support indian CA. They only do band 40 intraband aggregation. So they dont give 4G+ speed and thus we dont enjoy proper speed which 855 can offer. They do these to reduce the licensing fees which they have to pay to qualcomm plus additional antenna required for the same. Check forum or ask someone who bought it regarding 4G+ aka lte advance india support. These ducker add proper carrier aggregation in western countries and in their home country china but they remove CA, NFC and add more bloatware and use indian userbase as test sample for updates. They will release global update in india first then wait for few weeks before providing it to european and other countries.

5G is just gimmick marketing strategy by these mobile phone companies.
Its of no use at all. Even though if 5G is launched it would take 2-3 years for the proper network establishment across the country.
