There are bad reviews on az for camera battery charging and for another issue. Want to buy but thinking if I should or not.

Surprisingly AOSP-based custom ROMs are available for this device. Good price for the hardware on offer at least for tech-savvy users. The A73 cores are from 2017 though. The underlying kernel 4.19 will be EOL'ed in December 2024 but it shouldn't matter much as budget Redmi devices don't see many updates anyway.

Videos generally play smooth on most 4G networks... I'm clueless if there's any other advantage of 5G apart from downloading speeds. Only concern is if they reduce 4G speeds to 2G/3G just to promote 5G... 😝
