For people buying fitness bands price is a key consideration. Fitness bands are not as capable as smartwatches so spending too much for a fitness bad is essentially a waste.

According to a recent research even expensive smartwatches including those from Apple, Fitbit etc. are not very reliable when it comes to tracking HR during vigorous exercise let alone the cheap fitness bands. Most of those tested tended to overestimate the HR (perhaps calories burned as well) which is still better than the opposite though. HR tracking during rest was decently accurate.

So last month my father was hospitalized due to low pulse rate and high blood sugar. Doctors have advised him to be under total rest. I want to give him the new Mi Band 6.
