Terms and Conditions of the offer: 

1. This Offer is made solely and entirely to the select group of customers of Kotak Mahindra Bank 

(“Bank”) holding Kotak Visa Debit Card (“Customers”) who have received the communication 

with details of this offer via email and/or SMS on their Kotak Bank registered email id and/or 

mobile number. 

2. The offer is valid for online domestic utility and/or telecom bill payments done using a Kotak Visa 

Debit Card from 1st January, 2021 to 31st January, 2021 (“Offer Period”), both days inclusive. 

3. Customers will be eligible for the offer if direct payment is made using Kotak Visa Debit Card on 

the biller’s websites or on utility provider’s Apps only. 

4. Customers will not be eligible if payment is made through any online or virtual wallet. 

5. Customers will be eligible for the offer only if the payments are defined in the Kotak Mahindra 

Bank’s merchant category code 4812, 4814, 4899 or 4900. These Merchant Category Codes 

(MCC) are as specified by the acquirer Bank, Visa and merchant. Kotak Bank has no control of a 

merchant being tagged under the mentioned MCC (merchant category) 

6. Customers making direct online Utility and/or Telecom bill payments only shall be eligible for 

this Offer. The offer is NOT applicable on International transactions done in-store or online. 

Also, not applicable on Domestic transactions done in-store or online (excluding domestic online 

payment of utilities and/or telecom bills) 

7. The offer is NOT applicable on any domestic and/or international ATM withdrawals. Also not 

applicable on any transaction not done using Kotak Visa Debit Card. 

8. Customer needs to make cumulative total bill payments of minimum Rs. 500 on Utility and/or 

Telecom during the offer period using Kotak Visa Debit Card to be eligible for the Amazon 

Voucher of Rs. 50. Maximum value of the Amazon voucher during the offer period is Rs. 50 only. 

9. Each customer will be eligible for the Amazon voucher only once during the offer period if the 

offer criteria is met.

10. Each customer will be eligible for the Amazon voucher only on a single Kotak Visa Debit Card 

during the offer period if the offer criteria is met. 

11. Offer is not applicable on Net Cards or any other virtual cards made through Kotak Visa Debit 

Cards 

12. Please note that Amazon voucher eligibility is subject to merchant settlement of transactions. 

Hence only transactions settled by merchants within the program period will attract the Amazon 

voucher. 

13. Transactions which are reversed or cancelled will also not be considered. 

14. The Amazon voucher earned will be sent to customer via email and/or SMS on their Kotak bank 

registered email id and/or SMS 90 days after the offer period ends. 

15. Customers who have closed their accounts before the Amazon voucher is credited or customers 

with NRO accounts will not be eligible for this offer. 

16. Customers need to ensure that any confidential details like OTP, CVV, Card number, etc. is not 

shared with anyone. 

17. Customers need to ensure that the online sites and the Apps is protected and secure before 

proceeding ahead with the payment. 

General Terms and Conditions: 

1. Bank reserves the right to offer the program to any of its cardholders at its sole discretion. 

2. The Offer is non-transferable, non-encashable and non-negotiable. 

3. Any participation in this offer is voluntary. 

4. Any customer eligible for the Offer shall be deemed to have read, understood and accepted these 

terms and conditions, the general terms and conditions of the Bank and the terms and conditions

of the Merchants in relation to the Offer before availing the Offer. The Bank merely facilitates its 

customers to avail the Offer and it is in no way concerned or connected with the terms and 

conditions of the Merchants. 

5. Bank reserves the right, at any time, without prior notice and without assigning any reason 

whatsoever, to add/alter/modify/change or vary all or any of these terms and conditions or to 

replace, wholly or in part this Offer by another offer whether similar to this Offer or not or to 

extend or withdraw this Offer altogether 

6. The Bank reserves the right to disqualify any Customer from the benefits under the Offer if any 

fraudulent activity is observed as being carried out for the purpose of availing the benefits under 

the Offer. 

7. The Bank shall not be responsible or liable in any manner whatsoever for any deficiency or 

inadequacy in the services rendered by the Merchants their agents or representatives and the 

Customer hereby understands, acknowledges and agrees not to hold the Bank responsible or 

liable for, any losses, damages, costs, charges, expenses, claims (whether direct or indirect), 

actions or demands suffered by the Customer in relation to availing the benefits under the Offer. 

8. The Bank holds out no warranty and makes no representation about the quality, delivery or 

otherwise of the goods and services offered by any merchants. Any issue or dispute or claim 

arising out of or in relation to availing the benefits under the Offer must be resolved by the 

Customer directly with the Merchants in writing without any reference to the Bank. 

9. The decision of the Bank in all matters in connection with and incidental to this offer is final and 

shall be binding on all persons.
