dont go fo oneplus for gamin. I saw it personally, the refresh rate sucks. Motion are nowhere close to smooth. Th inbuild smooth settings are useless, tested all during oneplus popup.

Which one should I keep?

Can someone highlight major benefits of frame over the other Samsung I bought?

A few things I understand is better qled panel, more connectivity options, 120 hz refresh rate (I don’t play games, but watch movies and shows a lot and sports as well)

Please, someone who bought it and got delivered, give review please. Nobody seems to know about this product. They all say there is no qled in frame. Anyway, talked to online Samsung chat. They also are ignorant about this.

Just got it delivered today. Had intentionally delayed by a few days by rescheduling.

It’s covered by one black frame.
It’s tizen based. But very fast.
Remote is very fast.
4 brightness levels. Dynamic is brightest. And it’s too bright in dynamic mode.
Sound is good. But not an alternative for home theater. I have connected my Logitech thx z623 via an optical converter. I like to listen to with my speakers attached with too great boombasstic sound with theater effect.
Picture quality is great no doubt. I have mostly played full HD. Full HD plays excellent. Played a few 4k. It’s excellent +.
Very neat organizing of sources. I have connected one USB pen drive, chrome cast, firestick,. Very neat interface.
Entered Samsung apps store. Saying it limited would be an exagerration. Only about dozen apps there.
But Netflix, prime video, YouTube, zee5, already installed.
It’s big as it’s supposed to be. No gap wall mount is almost perfect too.
As it’s not Android, many options that would become available with Android would supposedly make it cluttersome. Due to limitations of tizen the interface looks too tidy, neat and clean.
Mirroring is good.
Bluetooth options are there.
It has wifi speakers options available as well.
One box is too great. Because of ease of adding any number of devices easily. 4 HDMI 3 USB ports.
As I have only airtel 16 mbps speed in my area currently (jio may reach my area in a month or two), it’s difficult for me to stream 4k directly. I have a 2 TB external HD which I will attach tomorrow. But, had it been android, may be I could have directly downloaded 4k content via apps like tubemate. Those having airtel 40mbps plus or jio Fibre will have no problem in direct streaming of 4k content.
Will attach my Bluetooth keyboard tomorrow too. Should be a breeze. As it was working fine with earlier Android TV too. This one, though tizen, is much faster.
The guys who came installed it very easily. They were gone in half an hour.

For Android we can attach an android stick. But currently I don’t need it. Will see.

Currently I don’t see any flaws in picture quality or sound or streaming or tidy interface. Meaning it’s a TV with great picture quality, very good sound, neat and clean and very friendly user interface.

Alright, as asked 3 times for review , here goes:

I love this TV, but as everyone says, not everything is perfect. Consider in mind, this is my 2nd LED purchase since I have been earning. My first was MITV 43" 1st gen. I have used this TV for a week now and remember I am one of those people who can get mad for even a small problem on a new purchase (pixel issue or bad performance or even small input lag on consoles)

• I used to use my PS to stream netflix/Prime video, not anymore. Stock apps are awesome, zero issues, great quality. Interesting, shows/movies qualities are better in netflix and prime compared to hotstar (I guess hotstar is using HD only? not sure)
• I love the display quality and I have shown this to my family, my GF, and my best friend and all are super impressed. I don’t know if it’s QLED, but samsung is saying so and why would they lie? That’d be horrible for their business if they say it’s QLED but it’s LED. So I am 100% sure it’s QLED.
• Remote is alright, not surprising bixby is a waste button in there though Voice recognition is good enough that you don’t need to type while searching in Youtube. Remote is curvy shape, not sure why but my parents have a 40" smart LED from Samsung and their remote is same too, so I guess that’s samsung style, I prefer MI remote, simple and no gimmicks. That’s not to say it’s a bad remote, it’s fantastic but it’s about personal preference.
• I have connected it to LAN and my laptop is on wifi (same network) and I just couldn’t use the remote pc feature for some reason, it says remote work desktop not able to connect, probably some settings issue, but it doesn’t work for me atleast. Wireless display is okay for watching movies, or showing your desktop, frames do drop when using wireless with the laptop but on the other hand airplay works perfectly. My iPhone XS smoothly shows the phone and games. Games don’t stutter if used airplay but it isn’t exactly a replica. Input delay is there a bit. I played MC5 on the TV and I got shot many times lol but it’s good enough.
• YouTube works brilliantly. Wifi linking , casting, everything is a breeze. 4K Videos play beautifully. Now on my laptop 4k show with 60fps/120/240fps option, on here it just show 4k. Not sure how that will work but it works as my laptop itself has 60hz screen but TV plays it smoothly.
• UI is nice. Yes, being a techie it’s not exactly what I’d hope for though. Media streaming feature is a god given, if that feature wasn’t here I’d throw this LED in trash. It shares all my bluray’s and all content via streaming to my TV. If on the same network only ofcourse. No lag nothing. No need to connect ext HDD to the TV if you want to share laptop/pc’s content to the TV, it can do without. Remember my laptop has SSD so nt sure how good it will do with HDD’s.
• Samsung, you shouldn’t have cheapen up on HDD/Ram on this. My guess is this has 2gigs of ram, doesn’t matter if u use the TV or not, ram usage is always 60-70% and CPU too. HDD I think is may be 5gb’s. As I have installed apps only on this, and I have 1gigs left and 1.8gigs filled. There is no file explorer in this if you thinking of getting one. You can’t sideload anything. All you get this default samsung media player to play content and this player can handle 720p, 1080p, 4K , HDR , HDR10. I played 2 movies worth 60gb each and it played them beautifully , no lag. However this player doesn’t give an option to select subtitles. Ofcourse 60gb means it’s Bluray BDMV so that will ofcourse come with numerous subtitles but default subtitle is nothing, in PC u can select via VLC/MPC, in this you cannot. You will need to download pirated content with default subtitle english, RAW BD won’t come with default and player doesn’t give an option to choose. Also BD has sometimes multiple audio’s such as one of movie and other commentary. For some reason only commentary audio played on 2nd BD and ofcourse samsung’s player won’t give you the option to choose the audio. I played p**n 4k and 1080p and it looked beautiful lol.
• If you think art mode is a gimmick, f**k off, lol it’s not. I love it. I love it that much that I would definitely buy the customized frames when samsung decides to start selling it. I am guessing they will sell it for 15k per color frame. I wish they sell it for 5-7k lol but why would they? They know people who bought this will definitely buy the cutomized frames as there is no option available. It doesn’t come with any black frame as previously said, that frame is basically TV’s body, you can’t de-attach it or something. I love art mode to the core. It seriously makes this LED look like an art. I will post some pics below.
• Bluetooth will work with almost any device. One box that comes with the TV is big and bulky and the worst thing is , it attracts dust.
• I’d have preferred it to have android ofcourse. For us indians, juggad is huge and android gives you the power to do exactly that. But this has tizen. It doesn’t have VLC or mx player as android does. I wish atleast VLC makes efforts to release their app or samsung should help Videolan financially in order to make that happen as there are instances where the video won’t play audio as samsung porbably doesn’t have the license or rights to play some specific audio codec. VLC can fix that. TV does have some subtitle setting on TV menu however not sure where that is going to apply as apps render subtitles themselves, Console too, Samsung player certainly doesn’t, not sure where TV’s subtitles option comes in.
• Sound is good enough but if you want to install this in your lobby then sound bad or sound system is a must. This TV has enough volume though to make it work but if you need those theatrically sounds then sound bar or system is required. For bedroom it’s more than enough.
• Finally console lovers – don’t worry, I didn’t forget you guys. Now I am a gamer but I play only specific titles and I am a console lover not PC. Played FIFA 18/20, GTA, GOW4. Only issue was FIFA. Not an issue really. It played smoothly. Only when a match starts (first kick) for exactly 2-3 seconds it might stutter but remember only for 2-3 seconds out of 90 mins match. So I can live with it, but not sure what causes it. Apart from that, if you guys has PS PRO, FIFA 20 or new titles will support 4k not sure at what FPS though. Netflix also plays 4k. For old titles , PS4 PRO Automatically adjusts the resolution when a game starts. Netflix/prime works easily but why would you use console apps when TV itself has those apps too?
• Works with ext HDD, ext SSD, flash drive.
• Art mode comes with 1 month trial but TV has an app which gives you 3 months free trial so total 4 months and then after if you want ART mode, it costs 299/month.
• I use dynamic mode for almost everything. It gives the best brightness but if you are using it in night, then use natural mode, as dynamic is too bright for eyes.
• I have 300mbps excitel with 150mbps hathway both on LAN always ready. TV Supports 5.0Ghz wifi band so kudos samsung for that. Other companies hardly support 5.0Ghz. Both my connections are on fiber. I have used TV extensively with Youtube, 4k, everything I have throw too much on this TV and it could do everything in breeze however that some audio codecs not supported is definitely a ball dropping. Samsung if you are reading this, GET VLC in tizen!!! Or get your default player to support all codecs/audio/audio change/subtitles change.
• Took half an hour to install by Samsung and it says no gap wall mount but it definitely has gap, though not big or noticiable but if you see it from sideways, it’s noticiable. I am definitely gonna call Samsung to check on that. I didn’t find time to do that though yet. As it didn’t bother me much so I let it go till now.
• I don’t use this TV for cable/DTH, for me everything is streaming.
• For those who only care for 55" from samsung , but a smart LED, costs 40-45k 4k. However for those who prefer better product, buy this. It has QLED, 120Hz refresh rate (for gamers), art mode, and beautiful design.

For those who told me to compare with different panels, I am not the guy for that as I havn’t bought any other panels or tested them to speak about them. That’s about it, ask me anything if someone wants to know more.

Guys, as this TV has one issue with some videos where audio is not support, how about if I buy Fire stick 4k and use VLC (download it in there) and then use it on the TV?

Update after using it for 3 weeks.

Not everything is perfect, as I said earlier, you might complain abt some small issues here and there but I think this TV was my best investment ever in 2019. I just love it. I won’t sell it ofcourse for many years to come and I will be moving to bigger apartment so will buy an OLED from LG prolly next year for living room , hopefully LG will launch one OLED with android. For now , this TV is worth what I paid for. Thanks samsung.
