Real GT ME got delivered today. I bought the 128/6GB variant for 17.5k in Grey. My previous phone was a year and half old Samsung M30s. here are my observations after using GT ME for 4 hours.
1. Excellent display. Looks like Realme did not cheap out on display and it shows. My Samsung phone also has a Super Amoled screen but the screen on Realme is better with excellent color re production. Brightness levels are good.
2. Performance : I don’t play games on my phone hence can’t comment on the gaming aspect. But for day to day usage performance is excellent. phone is very snappy with no lags or jitters. Compared to my previous Samsung, this one is much faster.
3. Battery life and charging. I did not really get the test battery life much but for whatever little time I got to use the phone, Battery life appeared to be quite good. Charging speed is crazy. Phone got charged from 20 to 100 % in 25 mins.
4. Software optimization. This is my first realme device. I have used multiple Samsung and Mi devices in the past. I can stick my neck out and say that Realme has probably the best Android optimization for budget devices. There are a few bloatware’s on the phone though . It took me a good 30 mins to clear them out starting from disabling notifications on Themes and browser.
5. Looks : Looks pretty good. vegan leather back is feels good to hold. Back cover in the box is also good quality.
Now coming to the cons.
Camera: I feel Realme could have done a better job here. Back camera is strictly average. If you are a Camera person, you need to get a better camera phone such as One Plus Nord 2 or Samsung S20 FE. Selfie camera is all right, nothing to rave about.
To conclude, this phone is overpriced if you were to buy it at full price (27k), One plus Nord 2 is a better option in case. But if you are buying this for BBD price, this phone is a steal. You are a getting a very snappy phone with excellent display, good charger and unique looks.

I have now used the phone for more than 24 hours. Wanted to add a few more points which might help prospective buyers. I have seen a few posts in this thread mentioning battery drain issue. I have played around with the settings and figured out that turning off 5G service and Location services will enhance the battery life. If you are okay with 60 Hz refresh rate, you can consider using that option too preserve the battery . Screen on time of 8 to 9 hours is doable with media consumption, browsing. having said that, battery life should be least of your worries considering the super dart charger supplied by Realme. it took just 13 mins to charge my phone from 20 to 95 percent. I’m sure such fast charging comes at the cost of battery life. I would be surprised if battery on this phone lasts more than 2 years.
For some reasons these days most reviewers don’t focus on music quality. I’m talking about music through Bluetooth earphones and 3.5 mm jack. I’m happy to let prospective buyers know that music quality through earphones is surprisingly good. In-fact it is better than my Samsung phone which supports Dolby atmos. I’m not going to comment about music through speakers because I consider it rude to play music via speakers in public or even in house with other members present.
There are a few things which I feel Realme can work on. I have connected GT ME to my cars( 2021 Brezza and 2017 grand i10) via Bluetooth. For some reason I have felt the volume through Bluetooth is on the lesser side. I have tried various settings but could not figure out why that is. Music quality is fine but the volume is less. If anyone has a solution, please let me know. I do a lot of road trips so music quality is very important to me. Android auto works flawlessly on GT ME. Make sure to use a branded cable.

Flipkart has been always like this. 4 years back I had ordered a Moto phone under exchange offer. FK delivery boy rejected my dispute for a very small dent. It wasn’t even a dent , plastic on the side of the phone has lost its shape a little bit. Anyways I ended up sending a legal notice to FK and also raised a consumer forum complaint. Somebody from their escalation team reached out and offered the phone for same amount without even exchanging the phone. By then I had already bought a phone from AZ. But to FK’s credit they did follow up with me later too. I would suggest you guys to write email to their escalation team, also highlight the issue on Twitter so that FK upper management might take note of the mess their logistic teams are creating.

Today collected my Realme GT from Flipkart hub 😂. Friend passed the prexo test in front of me and only taken my Mi A2 mobile and said charger dene ka jaruraat nahi sirf phone lagega 😂.

Just wanted to add my 2% here. I ordered 6+128 variant and used x7 max trick. Luckily both item shipped on different date. So for 2nd one ,I have given different nearby address (delivery boy changing ). My earlier redmi note 3 has screen discoloration as well as few scratches and I just wanted to exchange it even at lowest possible exchange value. Lowest price was 7300 for 8850 exchange value including 6k offer.
As everyone else know, delivery boy rejects directly to exchange that mobile. I asked him to take my old mobile with you for prexo verification at hub level if you are not comfortable but please don’t cancel. In night around 9pm , he called me and asked 2500 for screen and 800 for dent for successful exchange which is 1750 extra than legit if you compare. So this money is going in their pocket surely. I offered him to settle with 3000 instead of 3300 but he was adamant.
Next day my 2nd order gone out for delivery at different address and I traveled with my last hope although I complained this practice to customer support but it went to vain. At 2nd address, same thing happened he was not ready to exchange and also that boy is little new to prexo things. I talked to their boss but they repeated same thing. I talked to their hub manager then as last option and this time hub manager guided that new boy whole process and physically I was doing all the steps in delivery boy number. Tadaa..exchanged successfully. I paid 1550 for display , 50 to boy and given my number to the boy if any salary deduction happens which will never happen.
In summary, I was lucky enough to get my new gt . As I ordered this for my sis so no issue of anything and the previous mobile she was using realme 3 pro. Thanks each and everyone who posted in this . @sandeepksd

I have ordered 2 mobiles with exchange offer with my old note 5 Pro and note 7 pro.. final cost was ₹21948.. today received one mobile with exchange of note 5 pro.. exchange Price was reduced by ₹1150.. After paying that received new phone.. So final cost for this mobile is ₹12586.. another mobile delivery date is 8th Oct… my rn7 Pro is working fine.. So I am not interested to exchange.. but I am unable to cancel the order.. should I just decline the delivery? Or the loophole is closed now? Can’t cancel? No refund?
