Late last month woohoo offered 20% cashback on app for amazon gvs limited to max 200 cb per account. But yeah, there are no guarantees for even 5%.

Yet they’ve been pretty aggressive with their discounts so far so you never know if they again come up with 10-20% offers.

So what’s your final verdict? Buy and keep these Woohoos as it is? I was aggressive with their last offering (new user one) and converted all points into Amazon gvs at 5%.

Now I feel I can wait further. Max 200 cashback is less, but worth it if unlimited transactions are allowed.

Personally, I’m going to take the 5% deal as I do need to spend it pretty soon (for the macbook). If I didn’t wish to spend it anytime soon I’d have waited. Worst case I’d have to lose this extra 5% if I needed to buy something before new/better offer shows up. Best case I’d get 2-4 times the cashback amazon is offerring currently.

Worth the risk (of losing 5%) for me based on woohoo’s past offers and their frequency. Also, the money wont be stuck in a single site and I could use it anywhere I need too. Woohoo has a lot of options for us to utilise these funds.

Good idea. I will go with 5% deal and keep 3-5 cards as it is, just in case the offer gets juicier. Now, I have enough to get the macbook – yet the pricing from Amazon makes me feel like a little japanese girl looking for her mom at the Shinjuku station.

Also, why do you stress the important of SSD’s cost – sure, it’s expensive, but is the price justified? May go with 128GB and 2 TB external hard disk, although – at this point – 256GB and 128GB Macbooks have very little difference in terms of the cost (3-4k).

Tempted, yet I don’t want to spend additional 10-15k for extra 128GB space.

EDIT: Btw, the 5% off is capped at 500 rs because of Woohoo’s 10k limitation. You can do it unlimited number of times – any amount and get the cashback. Wish I knew all this earlier. Really cool offer.

Does it even matter?

I bought an iPhone locally and then – when it stopped working – went to the official reseller store and they replaced the device with a new one. This should be applicable even for Macbooks.

Then I realized one thing about Apple: no matter where you buy from, they provide you excellent support for one year.

Next year, we have to buy Apple Care – and that’s another expensive shit.

If you can’t wait, thats a good enough deal. Personally I’m not in any hurry and the discount is better than the 5+5 scheme if you use cashback sites like zingoy.
