No official IP rating, no dual stereo speakers (MI 10 Pro has very good dual stereo speakers), a 1080p 90Hz display and inferior software when compared to the 8 Pro.
But the MI 10 Pro has faster charging (MI 10 has 30W charging like the 8 Pro), a bigger battery and a slightly better camera.

In my personal opinion, the 8 Pro is better because it’s the better display, software and most importantly the IP certification. They both charge fast, both have very good battery life (although the MI 10 has a bigger battery, the 8 Pro’s battery life won’t disappoint you) and the cameras on both devices are very good with the extra zoom capabilities on the MI 10 being something to consider. Can’t really go wrong with either of them

Perfectly said
I always consider “Display + Software” are the game-changers for me when considering two comparative phones (w/ comparative After-sale service)

I am assuming MI10 should be more direct competition to OP 8 than 8 Pro but as few Xiaomi officials indicated, the price wouldn’t be that attractive in India as it isn’t manufactured here and attracts more taxes. Will be a tough sell for Xiaomi if it can’t compete in terms of price against OP. The direct price conversion of Chinese price translates to 46k INR for MI10 but If they aren’t manufacturing the device in India then I doubt if they can even maintain that price here. Will be an interesting launch for Xiaomi.

People like it or not but OP has a better brand image as a premium device than Xiaomi has.

Only point in buying this device is if it launches at 35k which it won’t.
They will launch it at 40K or maybe 42K with a bank discount of 2K and that makes the price similar to OnePlus 8 which is obviously a better phone than this one.

p.s. I am not planning to buy any of the Chinese brands from now on. Will go for LG or Samsung. I know a lot of parts/products/phones are made in china only but still, I will try to avoid Chinese products as much as possible. They f##ked the whole world with the virus and now are going back to business while dead bodies are piling up in other countries.

Agree. OnePlus has priced their phones very competitively in India and I don’t think Xiaomi can match that. Even at 45k, I think most people would prefer the Oneplus 8 or 7t Pro.

With this logic you should not use motor vehicles too. they cause long term damage to environment, majority of the oil comes from middle East, a lot of people are dead because of oil, a lot are still dying.
Samsung makes weapons that are used to kill and oppress poor people, LG chemicals’ plant failure is not needed to mention. So, you know, the entire world is wrecked. You n I are no different
