5G phone

Hi,

Full 5G services might be in effect in India by Q3 or by Q4. Is there any 5G phone currently in the market which supports all 5g bands, preferably by Samsung till 45k? Google Pixel would also do.

Thanks

No…
Plus don’t pay much attention to early 5G…right now Airtel has used 1800Mhz to showcase 5G..hardly any phone support it…we will need atleast a year to see what’s in store for India

My friend is getting Note 20, few months old, at a good price. Though advertised as 5g, it is not a fully fledged 5g phone which can work with all bands that is. Now if jio shio pio or any isp decides to go full 5g then his money will be wasted. Hence I asked this question.

Yes it will work ..
But are you getting it under 45K??

I will still say…ignore the 5G capability if you are getting phone now…it will take years to have proper 5G coverage..

5G will be a gimmick for at least first few months of its launch. Aisaa 5G plan leke kya karoge jo 4g sey 10 times costly ho.

5G in Q3 2021? I seriously doubt that
US carriers took 2-3 years for nationwide rollout from the initial trial phase.. Can’t even imagine how long Jio/Airtel are going to take to do the same here in our country
Also, I suspect jio is going to announce device-specific 5G plans (affordable?) in the initial phases (Jio-Google collab?). Its a perfect time to announce new hardware to lure consumers n dump the brand n the users once the hype is gone

So much time has passed since 4G was launched in India and still, it’s not working properly. So many frequent call drops, bad network connectivity, and even bad network data speed. Forget about 5G. That will take another 2 years to properly enter into the consumer world.

in New York and most of U.S. of A, i think it is the high band https://www.qualcomm.com/research/5g/5g-nr/...ve or millimeter wave.

and even that is not stable even if one moves a couple of feet and the device is not exactly aligned with the nearest node/ antennae.

In Bharat, even if the spectrum or bands used by ISRO, Defence are released for use by Telcos, they are unlikely to jump.
Rather they would utilise the existing mid bands, low bands (anything below 6Ghz).

unless there is no friend or you are your own friend toungueout (asking for self)
why even bother so much.
its her/his money and if they can spend it, they are fairly capable to tale decisions of whether it is money well spent or if what the anticipate (about future of 5G in Bharat) would work out to their advantage.
Of what i know, Samsung (the brand you/ your friend favoured) has only got some mettle in the foldables, in so far as 5G goes.

why , ?

It is gonna be eaten up by other children of bbk. Moreover BUGplus has become pathetic in terms of software and hardware.
