Only if you can afford to purchase:

Philip B Anti Flake Relief Shampoo 220 ml worth Rs.4,200

The greatest anti-dandruff shampoo to date.

Personally using it for more than 6 months.

Dandruff drastically falls from second or third wash.

Everything is scam .

Use clinic plus pouch . That's enough for hair cleaning.

Using head and shoulders for many years but it is not removing dandruff.

Used other brands and expensive ones also but all of them are money looting .

So use clinic plus pouch.

Avoid fatty food intake.

Have to change the shampoo frequently, few good ones are:

8X, Selsun daily, Danfree 2%

Short hairs and monthly hair cut also help.

If it is Mild, Head and Shoulders work great. If it is too much, try Pharmacy products: Selsun or Scalpe Pro. If it doesn't reduce, consult a Dermatologist.

Whatever best shampoo you use will stop working after few months as the yeast/fungus that causes dandruff will become resistant. You need to rotate shampoos with different ingredients when one stops working.

Overnight lotions like Noskurf along with shampoo are better.

Apply a good moisturizer to body and face every day.

Once dandruff is visibly clear use regular shampoo and use anti dandruff shampoo as maintenance (once in a week).

Use clarifying shampoos like Loreal DX once in a week.

Head and shoulders do the work.

But I believe you can't remove it permanently but can control it to a limit.

I use it thrice in a week.

@alexhunter789 Use Selsun green bottle shampoo twice a week. The issue will get resolved from second wash itself.

Any shampoo with ketoconazole 2% twice a week if severe dandruff, 1% ketoconazole shampoo if normal dandruff. Downside is hair will be dry.

I felt it's the shampoos that made my scalp condition worse.

At age 15/16 I started using shampoos, specifically Meera. Hairfall, dandruff, itching became routine. I used to apply shampoo once in 3 days.

I used a couple of products with not benefit. Then I stopped using shampoos at all.

Now 27

My hair routine:

  • Oil night before
  • Shampoo bath. Any available shampoo.
  • Proper drying of hair.
  • Removing dandruff manually using lice comb.
  • If it sweats, take a head bath.
  • Again drying hair.
  • Making sure natural scalp oil is in optimum level.

Only drawback is smell of too much natural scalp oil is bad.

I tried 3 so far, selson, atiket (local company) and scaple plus. The last one works the best for me so far. At least it keeps the dandruff away for few days, and it cleans the hair really well. Will check the scaple pro someone mentioned above as my dandruff problem intensifies in winter.

Can't believe some are using those sunsilk clinic plus headshoulder etc. one shouldn't use those poison to wash their feet.

Non chemical solution: ritha mixed water. Mum said it works best. But careful with eyes. Ritha is Bengali word, please find English/Hindi name for it i don't know.
