The Answers are
We all ride motorcycles. So, here are are the questions.
Answers
1) If you are riding a motorcycle. Suddenly you decided to turn to left. Where shall you go?
a) Left
b) Right
c) I donāt know
The reason is countersteering.
way:
science behind it:
Pro Tip
Push your palms against the handle. To turn right, push your right palm away from your body. Same for turning left, push your left palm. This is more prominent when bike is speeding.
Practice Tip
Use an empty road or ground to practice this.
2) How shall you break your speeding bike?
a) Downshift, and apply front breaks only
b) Downshift, and apply rear breaks only
c) Downshift, and apply both front and rear breaks only
The most powerful brake in your vehicle is the front brake. Thatās why they come at a bigger size than the rear ones. When you brake, the weight of the bike-cum-riderās shifts to the front wheel. So, applying rear brakes is not a good idea. The idea is to slowly squeeze the front brake lever and the bike will stop. But then, experts have found, using both front and rear brakes simultaneously stops the bike even quicker. And this is how Combi brake got invented
Combi Brake:
Explanation:
Pro Tip
Use two finger technique on your disc brake equipped bike. Two fingers of right hand stays on the right lever, apply slowly but steadily the lever, i.e. progressively. Practice it and be amazed.
Why, downshift it?
Well, at higher gear engine revs at lower speed, when you down shift, you force your engine to run at a higher speed but you donāt give it much gas. So, the speed of the wheel, transmits via the gears to the engine. And since the wheels are forced to rotate the crank, energy is dissipated quicker. It is called engine braking.
This demonstrates
Explanation: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Engine_braking#Ga...
3) Bike is turned off. You started it. You pressed the clutch, put the first gear, and you slowly released the clutch. What might happen?
a) Bike will roll
b) Bike will halt
Engine is connected via transmission system to the wheel. If the transmission system is a gearbox, then the flow of power is like, Engine āclutch shaftā Clutch ā mainshaftā Gearbox ā driveshaft ā Wheel.
Wheels n Gearbox are directly coupled. And gearbox is made such that, there is a neutral point, which enables to Engine run, even when vehicle is at a halt.
Watch this
So, when we start a bike, put it into gear and slowly release the clutch, the flow of power from engine to wheel happens smoothly and now wheel has to turn as it is directly coupled to engine via a gear. Any sudden disengagement of clutch lever ensures a jerky coupling between engine and gear. Because of inertial properties of the bike gear refuses to turn and engine is already coupled to the gear and to the wheel and that is why engine also stalls and bike halts.4) Are mirrors on bikes necessary?
a) Yes
b) No
They are very necessary.
5) Scooters like Activas have a different kind of front suspension system. If you are moving and suddenly you break, what shall happen?
a) Scooterās front ll squat
b) Scooterās front ll rise up
Rule of inertia says, moving object continue to be in that state unless any external force acts upon. Check a photo of a front suspension of Activa and motorcycles. Motorcycles use telescopic forks mostly. So, you apply the brakes. Weight gets transferred to the front wheels. Then? Front tyre stops. But the body of the motorcycle is in motion. So, it will choose the path available. Thatās why telescoping forks get squeezed, called brake dive. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motorcycle_susp...on explains it well. But some geniuses invented Earlās fork. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motorcycle_fork#.... There is this leading link between bottom of the front telescopic fork and an arm behind the fork. So, when you brake, the motion of the vehicle chooses the natural path available. The motorcycleās body uses junction between the leading link and telescopic fork as a pivot(which coincides with the axle) and follows the semi-circular path around the leading arm using it as radius for the movement. Front rises up instead of squatting.
Activa used to use it. And thatās why on older Activa (which does not use Telescopic fork) front rises up while braking.
6) Why are bigger brakes used on front than the rear ones?
a) Out of necessity
b) Just style
7) Which one is the most powerful brake of a bike?
a) Front
b) Rear
8) What is the right way to overtake a vehicle?
a) Just take any route
b) Honk horns, flash headlights and if a pass is given, over take from right
More accurate thing will be, use all those things given above, downshift and move. Downshifting will give you more power and you will be able to accelerate. Upper gears are for there fuel efficiency.
9) How do you accelerate during overtake?
a) Downshift and speed away
b) Just roll the accelerator and speed away
10) Which one is the most powerful gear?
a) First
b) 5th/6th one
First gear is the most most powerful one. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gear_train#:~:tex....
So, check your manual. https://www.ek9.org/index.php?threads/ek9-honda... gives an example of gear ratios on a Honda Civic. First gear is 3.23:1, i.e. for every 3 turns of engine there will be one turn of wheel.
5th and 6th are generally overdrive gears. There are here for fuel efficiency. When you cruise on highway engine does not need to run at a higher speed. The same carās 5th gear ratio is 0.848 that is engine turns 0.848 times every turn of wheel. Engine runs slower than wheel!!! Thatās niceeee.
11) How to pick a good helmet?
a) Pick a cheap one
b) Goto a reputed dealer n choose as per usage n affordability
Donāt cheap out. If you are using a high power motorcycle yet you choose a cheap helmet is a big shame. Helmets costing 1000-2000 rupees wont save you from high speed impacts.
12) How often one should change oneās tyres?
a) Every 5 years
b) As per wear and tear
c) either a or b
Every 5 years or as per wear n tear, whichever is earlier
13) What is the right way of shifting gears?
a) Just pull clutch, shift gear and roll accelerator and release clutch gradually
b) Pull clutch, release the accelerator, shift up and go. Similarly, pull the clutch, rev the engine, shift down and go
c) Clutch may or may not be used in option b)
d) both b and c are correct
This explains
14) Is braking affected by correct tyre pressure?
a) Yes
b) No
Tyres are the most important component of both braking system and suspension system. Too much pressure, weaker tyres get and less grip on tarmac. Too less pressure, bike gets dragged behind and more fuel gets wasted.
15) Is maintaining safe distance among vehicles necessary?
a) Yes
b) No
Inertia
16) Do you know the braking distance of your vehicle?
a) Yes
b) No
This is a trick question. To know this right, just use an empty road, go at speed then use your brakes to come to a stop. This will give you an idea about your stopping distance. It comes handy in tight traffic and highways. Now you wont rearend anyone.
17) Do you get your bike serviced with right engine oil regularly?
a) Yes
b) No
This is a personal choice question. If you donāt use right engine oil, you will ruin your engine. So, refer the manual.
18) How to use headlamps properly?
a) always use high beams
b) use low beams in crowded space and both way roads
Commonsense and personal safety
19) Is exhaust pipe modification legal?
a) I dont know
b) I dont care
c) Illegal
It is illegal because of noise pollution it makes. If the noise is under legal limits contact authorities for better knowledge.
Right Sequence is bcaabaabaabcdaaaabc
You ll drive in a better way. But wonāt get LL ššš

I was sure about first to shift body weight on opposite side
But question was not clear
So got confused
Got 17 correct.. Only First one was confusing (incorrect for me)..

Most common error is on Turning the bike, using brakes, shifting gears. These are the most fundamental things as it involves the risk of getting into or out of an accidental situation, where as improper shifting will cause wear n tears n most of the knowledge are GK type things and I donāt think those will change life of anyone significantly.
Dont cheap out on helmets guys.
@bumblefoot bhai @Himanshu1234567 has scored the most. So, he should get the prize.
@bikidas2060 Thanks bro for this..
.
But out of 4wrongs two (1&3) are on you..
In Q1, wording is not correct..
If I decide to go left, eventually I WILL GO LEFT.. countersteering and all comes next when mentioned.
In Q3, Who will roll the throttle..
.
Will check out the remaining two, 9&13..Didnāt know them, mainly clutch may not be used.
Bhau just missed the phrase the handle to in question number 1
and in question number 3 without rolling the throttle the bike will start rolling.

Guys some of you might not be riding a bike. But these info ll save your lives someday, Pinki Promise.I really wanted to make awareness about this. @bumblefoot Bhau without your kind gesture, I donāt think anyone would have taken time to read this as somethings mentioned in the post are counter intuitive.
Guys, please donāt start doing things all of a sudden. Please take an open empty road/ parking lot will be great. Start practicing these things. Everyone in the developed countries know this, almost everyone at least. We learn riding bikes either all our own or by some ill informed relatives. Time to change that trait. Letās do at least this thing positively. Happy n safe riding.
Was busy with some work. But Pinki Promise will definitely read out all your mentioned points. šš
