Looking to buy a scooter for local commute. Shortlisted Activa 6g and Access 125. Please provide your inputs. Is Jupiter worth considering. As I have the habit of discounts from DD, what bargains should I ask the dealer and the best discounts.

best to go with activa 125…service of honda is good..and if you are not satisfied…there are usually 2-3 honda showrooms in tier 2 and 3 cities….service of suzuki is not that good…only good product they get sales of is access 125….its good but has fair share of reliabilty problems service issue is also there

Final on road price with basic accessories comes to around 95k.
For anyone looking to buy a scooter in this range, here are the current on road prices in Mumbai with basic guard, cover etc:
1. Activa 6g std: 83000
2. Activa 6g dlx: 85000
3. Access 125 special edition: 95000
4. Access 125 special edition bluetooth: 104000
5. Activa 125 drum: 92000
6. Activa 125 disk: 100000
1. Access or Jupiter if you plan to keep it till End of life (WIll say Jupiter as truly Indian)
2. Activa if you plan to sale it off in next 5-7 years.

I bought activa 125 dlx edition for 75k on 2016 still running like a butter & much satisfied!!!
Access engine has to rebuild at 42000 km for a relative while Activa goes to 80-90000 km without any issues.

You can see the signs of welding on them. If you compare this shitty job with older Chetak, Vespa ones, Honda Activa ll run n hide with shame.

Truee! And i will probably sue them some day as keys of one active will start some other activa! Don’t know if it’s same for newer versions but a lot of incidents when activa’s get exchanged outside banks and similar places!
Zero innovation and they have almost doubled prices in 5 years!

Listing down some of the reasons why I bought Access 125 instead of Activa 125:
1. Performance: Have checked a lot of video reviews and most of them mentioned Access is better on performance
2. Larger Seat: Access has a large seat and Pillion riding was one of my priorities
3. Larger leg room: Access has a larger leg room to keep goods
4. Larger Bootspace: Access has a boot space of about 21 liters which is very big
5. Suspension: The telescopic suspension on Access is a bit stiff which gives better ride quality as suggested by one of my friends who bought Access 125
6. Milege: Better mileage
Some of the features missing in Access 125:
1. Engine Idling: One of the must have features
2. Parking Lights: Good to have
3. Brake Lock: Good to have
4. Fuel Tank lock at the front: Could have (not essential)
