Few days back I created a new account on Amazon.

Today I placed 2 prepaid orders one from the Amazon fresh and one from the Amazon pantry for 2 different states.

But I got a message that your account is closed for violation of services and now I am not able to login in that account.

I just want to know whether is there any way to reopen that account and if not whether my orders will get delivered or I will be getting refund for the same as I made payment through debit card..
Please help

Bro, What’s the reason for account suspension?
Is it for placing orders for two different states?

@7dipanshugulati561 It’s common for amazon to ban customers in US and very hard to get it unbanned. I know a girl who is customer care full time payroll employee for amazon India and she said they don’t have access to unban accounts as it’s done by AI. Even they don’t know what causes account ban.

From what I’ve come to know, even if you keep creating new accounts, they will simply ban that one. Their AI is very good at that.

By any chance, have you over exploited and they had marked you as abusive customer?

IN or US, people got their accounts unblocked by mailing Jeff (including me)

Amazon’s AI is the laziest thing (Deliberately made to work this way) u can find among popular e-comm channels & NO Amazon doesn’t Auto-ban multiple accounts ( Same or different IP/device )

The reason why Amazon IN is actively banning closing accounts is “Multiple Apay wallet accounts” – Which shouldn’t be allowed according to RBI rules. If both accounts are KYC-Verified, then there won’t be any account closures

Please go through sellers forum on amazon India, you will find plenty of complaints about getting banned from amazon.
And for US region, reddit has a dedicated forum with people hit and trying how to get unbanned.

Coming to why i am being so cautious, i made aroud 8k in amazon pay cashbacks this year alone, excluding 5-6k of back to source refunds and i don’t want to get banned as i heavily rely on amazon.

These BPO employees aka dummies got no control over “Account Blocking”. The Max they can do.. is to let you know the reason for “Account Block”. May be someone misguided her about the AI part smile

& its the same mechanism for US/India. Mail Bezos/Resolution/ECR team and get the account unblocked ( Assuming that you didn’t commit any fraud over there ).

As far as cashback is concerned, i made more than 10K last year (Cashback isn’t just limited to Bill payments or shopping 50/100cb.. w/ certain products u get more than 5/10K CB)

+ There’s a big difference between Account suspension/ban vs Account Closure. If the account got closed, there’s no way to retrieve.. the data remains in their internal server though (Not the same case w/ ban/suspension which Amazon IN temporarily revoke letting users to utilize the stuck Apay wallet money)

Edit: Suspension/ban/closed, they all mean the same. Account specialists review accounts and they unban if they find the customer response to be satisfactory in some cases. Others need to mail bezos

Why do people at dd love to make fun of BPO guys 🤣.
It’s not that they are deliberately withholding information from you. Don’t you think the problem has more to do with Amazon and other companies who for reasons best known to them, don’t give this privilege access to BPO for a faster resolution?

^^ This is the reason why majority of the dimers hate Amazon support aka third party BPO guys handling amazon issues. There is no generic hatred for BPO guys like you are assuming it here, may be w/ a bit more experience with amazon support.. you too will understand this!

Mr.Bezos is still part of Amazon (Executive chairman) and the mails to his ID will still fetch results (handled by his team or someone else)

If this was the case, then dimers would’ve stopped helping others (letting people use their CC/DCs for bank offers) with Amazon purchases. My cards are shared in three amazon accounts (All Prime + KYC Verified)

I don’t see any reason why she’d do something like that in first place whereas she even shared many sure shot tricks related to Amazon. She did not have any motive, just a casual friend.
Amazon’s support is probably the best out there imo, flipkart would be second, they have caught up quite well.
Samsung having the worst possible.
Amazon has their own full time payroll customers support for quite sometime now with all the perks and benefits and they are expanding it aggressively.
Flipkart used third party BPO contracts to companies like concentrix and a few,not sure about now if they hire on their payroll oe or still rely on contracts.

May be you’re under this unanimous positive impression because your experience w/ Amazon support is limited or because you’re new to DD??

Amazon support being the “Best” is a thing from distant past. One reason (i can think of) for the downfall is the excessive exploitation of the offers/returns by the users and the second being unhelpful/noob support (Something that needs to be avoided for general queries)
I can’t speculate why/if your casual friend casually lied about something but the only thing they care (Especially chat support) is the positive feedback so they’ll lie in whatever way they can to make you feel satisfied ( Found social Media support to be a bit better for offer/return related issues + some executives via Chat/Phone support )

You may have had a very different experience than i had which you are not happy about, it’s very much possible.
But i can only speak about my experience na, so far which has been really good and trust me i don’t give a flying f,., about experience feedback and ratings sweat_smile.
They usually ask for it because it’s a factor for their growth within that organisation.
In case you didn’t get it, i interacted with her in a personal capacity. For order related queries, Amazon decides who i get to speak with.
If he was wrongfully banned or suspended, he should have his account back, but he isn’t responding if he over exploited something.

Whatever mentioned there.. Its a collective opinion based on experiences shared by dimers here (Something i observed over the past couple of months/years). The reason why i suggested to check D&D threads/posts

PS: If you need some more clarity, you can create a D&D thread and add a poll (May not be very accurate.. but this is the best possible way)

If AI is simply banning the New Account also ,then Amazon should SHUT its Shopping Platform at least in India smile

Because Lot of Players are already Waiting for Amazon Banned!

Most possibly AI does that job I think, too many users and sellers to control manually.
That’s why some of the time, they get this wrong.
But @getready said thats not the case, so IDK.
