From your existing cards

Load AGV via regalia smartbuy route. Then pay the rest using ICICI APay card.

If your payment is next month then you can get 10+10k AGV @ ~3.5% off in SB using regalia.

Additionally if you can, the millennia DC might be easiest to get your hands on. If you already have an existing hdfc dc use that for AGV from a different SB account and then do a change request to millennia dc (in case it’s free for your hdfc account). Millennia dc will give a bit better CashBack on SB, use it on another SB account. I think in this way you can accumulate your full needed AGV at good discount.

And does it have a Max limit?

1 lakh is the supposed limit but depending on your luck the amazon system may allow payment of a bit more than that in a single txn.

Best & most hassle free option for future reference, open a 1 year FD of 38k today at 8.2% interest rate in Equitas bank & same time next year pay the insurance premium using any cc then pay that cc bill using the matured FD amt.

Total limit. Apparently the amazon system will give error while fetching a higher amt insurance premium bill amount.

Amazon pay will fetch 2% yes either direct payment via Amazon or by first buying GC

Axis ace will give 0 if paid directly on LIC, it will give 2% as long as gateway is not detected as insurance (so Amazon gift card will give 2%)

@avgn What about if I pay LIC bill via Amazon app through my Axis Ace credit card? Will that fetch 2%?

@avgn  I read AMAZONINSES as Merchant Name while paying LIC bill through Amazon via Axis Ace credit card...Not sure whether it would qualify for 2% cb

It's risky as it may go under insurance/utility category so no cashback. Buying gift card first and then using it is better.
Or just directly pay via Amazon ICICI card if you want to avoid gift card route.

Why would someone avoid the gift card route? Any drawbacks of using many gc?

Next time , Apply for Axis Bank LIC signature Credit card. It is LTF and it provides a flat 2% CB on LIC premium payment without any cap. I also use the same.
