RBI actually wants all card issuers to store their data on Indian servers so that they can be hacked into easily rather than leave it encrypted on well fortified & secure American servers !?

RBI halted below to issue new cards.

1. HDFC Cards (The most offer oriented cards)
2. American Express (Online CC Expense Giant)
3. Diners Club Iternational (Diners specialist)

Citi Bank is exiting retail business & Citi Cards.

Note: RBI SAYS ORDER WILL NOT IMPACT EXISTING CUSTOMERS.

Exactly, I would rather have my data on MS/Google servers in US/EU rather than on servers in India.

School or college k Education me bhi aur sudhar aayega. ek time aayega log smjh jayega yaar, ki apne country ka ek fake Image pure duniya ko dekhayenge.

Bruh.. even many aws s3 bucket server data get leaked irrespective of server location for security it depend upon server configuration . And after leak  it all depends upon how secure and encrypted data are stored to reduce exploits of data.. . .. but whatever..

Bro most brilliant software engineers working in MS/google/amazon only, rest are employed under Xi Jinping, Putin & Kim Jong un. Anywhere else your data security just depends on luck. smile

short me mera itna bolne ka mtlb yehi tha ki america me rahe ya India me hack or data leak toh hona he ha, par agar India me rahe k hack hoga toh hume kuch paise bhi mil jayega court case karne par, jaise americans ko milte ha.

isiliye India me data store hona chahiye.

Now for next 1 week Amex should give cards to everyone who applies on their portal with zero rejection rate. that way it can mitigate the ban period loss

Citibank is exploring the option of selling its Indian consumer banking business piecemeal and is reportedly seeking a valuation of more than Rs 4,000 crore for its credit card vertical, said people familiar with the matter. In the last few weeks, investment bankers, including Citi’s internal team, have reached out to several companies including Reliance, Pine Labs, an Indian merchant platform company, and Paytm, said these people.

India me 2 type k log ha, ek woh jo bas “Baba ji ka thullu milega” bol k rahe jata ha aur ek woh log jo 1-1 rupees k liye bhi har baat pe court me case kar dete ha aur case jeet k paise mil bhi jata ha. court case k kharche k sath.

aise mai bhi tumhare jaisa he “Baba ji ka thullu milega” logo me se he hu, par iska mtlb yeh nhi ki humdono sahi ha. smile

Credit card business sirf banks he buy kar sakte ha. News wale kuch bhi likhte ha, Masala daalne k liye. smile

Paytm khud bank hote hue bhi dekhoge Citi bank or SBI bank k sath tieup me Credit card launch kiya ha.

IDFC First, RBL Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, DBS Bank and IndusInd Bank me se he high chance ha koi ek bank Citi bank k Credit card business ko buy karega.

@abhishek012

Ye sahi hai kya?
My sister was planning to apply for Amex card last week, but didn’t.
Abhi apply karne se milne ka zyada chance hai? Ya sabka application reject hoga?

There are AWS/GCP/Azure data centers in India too which are as secure as anywhere else. Amex and Diners should have complied with RBI guidelines

Yes but most sensitive data is not on those servers because of weak Indian laws regarding data security/Intellectual property as well as infrastructure issues.
