Now, ethically this is wrong because it's the platform fee they're charging in terms of taxes and that's how they earn money but it's us who've to bear this more than the host. So, proceed ahead as per your wish.

Is Airbnb safe in India ? I mean it's just a home with no security and staff. Host is there but a lot of them lack reviews. How's your experience so far?

So far tried 3 times. Experience has been good. Reviews are important but sometimes I take chances with less review posting also.

Agree.  As an airbnb host since 2015, we get 30% less than what guests pay for stay. But As a host I avoid guests who contact me and bargain even below 40%.

Is it safe for couple? Do they deny couple even after not mentioning anything on their profile?

Okay, it means that both the host and customer are charged a good sum then. Pretty much explains why people have their property put up for such a huge amount.

It's a value creation business.

As a family who travel with infant, toddler, old parents, hotels are often not convenient. Eating outside food in all the meals. Having 150 sqft rooms to stay is a pain. I like if we get a good furnished 3 bhk in a decent location. Most of them have free parking. It was impossible to connect and trust before AirBnb. Even the cost is decent as compared to hotels. The use case is not for every individual and every vacation. But comes handy at times. Even the hosts are happy with lower returns as they compare it with rental returns rather than hotel service level returns.

If only there was a worthy competitor, Airbnb comission would have been in control. I don't trust vacation rental booking using Goibibo, booking.com etc..
