For me they simply deduct balance, so have stopped using this
How can we recharge with main balance
Via Airtel thanks app but ₹49 not available can do ₹48 one or any other.
Can do same by ussd code also.
Should have more main balance than recharge amount.
USSD code to do airtel prepaid 48rs recharge by using main balance (personally verified just now)
make sure the main balance of our airtel prepaid sim equal or above to 48rs.
now dial *129#
select 48rs plan and activate it. done! 48rs balance will be deducted and the plan will be activated within seconds.
PS:- i am from AP. this USSD code worked for me today.
Also u can do from MyAirtel app if balance is 48+

But better go for ₹100 top up that will give both 28 validity and main balance which can be used later to do ₹48 recharge or to exchange ₹49 recharge with other.
