If Jio is smart and it doesn’t get on the bandwagon even for a few months, it can get a lot of port-in requests.

Right now Jio 1.5GB/84 days plan costs 444 after adjusting 111 cashback. Best to queue up 8-10 plans, doing one recharge per day to ensure full cashback. You will be price protected for next 2 years.

How are you guys even thinking that Jio isn’t in cohort with Airtel / Vi! This is all discussed and planned. Only difference is Airtel/Vi has made it clear that this was a price hike, jio will start tweaking their plans to make the per day cost almost similar to the others. Rather than directly saying a rise, they will give you more benefits for reduced validity and we will keep arguing that JIO is better than the rest.

Maybe we will feel that we are getting .5gb data more, but most probably the validity days will get reduced. Some good plans like 129/329/1299 will give reduced benefits or might get removed. Most 28 days plans will become 24 days and 24 days plans become 14 days or so. However some won’t be able to leave jio as they will have good Maha cashback, which might offset the loss temporarily.

Last but not the least BSNL will timidly come into play and start reducing validity days too.

Come on guys, this has happened in the past too (2019 onwards), no surprises. Somehow I’m quite sure.. our saviour TRAI knows everything and their main purpose is probably to make sure we keep giving enough for these telecom companies to sustain (that word in current times mean profitable), see we are being served indirectly.

Finally do remember no new competition can now come in like what Jio did with their free and then rock bottom prices, there is a predatory pricing ban rule. So there’s no way out. cry

These unlimited plans which were enticing in the beginning, slowly proved to be a trap. Now without unlimited, plans of some networks are coming with “no SMS” model.
