airtel internet is becoming very poor.

All are same in one area or other .

Somewhere jio is good somwhere airtel , so claiming one good and other bad in this terms is not perfectly possible.

Airtel has been poor indoors for the last several months in my locality. Unlike earlier I can’t get good speeds in any location in my house like next to a window which enjoys line of sight coverage to the nearest tower. Ironically 4G+ is much slower than plain vanilla 4G. So with root I disable Band 40 ( also B8 and B3) which disables 4G+. Speeds in B8 are much more consistent although still at 3.5G levels for most of the time. Vi indoor coverage is terrific. Despite no 4G+, 50-60Mbps consistently after midnight and 15-30Mpbs at other times even during peak hours which was a concern until early last year. Outdoors Airtel 4G+ is a bit more stable and speeds are pretty good but of no practical value. I have placed several complaints since 2018 but to no avail. Let’s see if after yesterday’s  threat of porting out if anything changes though I am not hopeful at all. Jio is pretty much the same as Airtel. This is one major reason I insist on rooting my devices. 

BTW for the first time in a really long time Airtel credited some freebies in my nos. on the 99 pack. 3GB with 7 days validity in one no., 4GB in another and a whopping 7GB in the last one. But the data benefits were credited towards the end of the Service Validity which reduced their usefulness by a lot. In any case with Vi offering excellent speeds no need to put with 3G speeds from Airtel.
