My Airtel number suddenly stopped working, No SIM card error. Tried that SIM in other phones but not working, how can SIM card suddenly stop working?

Is chortel purposely doing this to sell replacement SIM? Anyone faced similar issue?

Fed up with Airtel, one SIM no internet despite recharge and other not working now. 😔

Please call customer care immediately, who knows someone swap your sim purposely

Did u recharged your sim with any smart plan etc..? I guess if Airtel sim is not recharged with any smart plan for 90 days,it will be allotted to others.correct me if i am wrong.

I dont think its allotted that soon , it might enter the buffer for sometime, because that could be a privacy concern
IMHO, there should be a time gap of atleast an year before a sim is re allotted

This is my primary number, recharged with 84 day pack regularly, had around 25 days validity.

He is correct bro, We wish that to happen but if somebody is not using his phone since 3 months then how much is probability of using it again.!!

As per TRAI guideline, If you have not used the mobile number for 90 days whose balance is less than Rs 20, then operators can deactivate your number.

Yes bro, deactivating and re assigning are two separate things, I think they can deactivate anytime but they should wait before assigning to others

They wiil be sending a SMS too..that your sim is damaged & you need to replace it at retailer/store for Rs100

it is free in official airtel store else 50rs in franchise airtel store. … sim owner should visit with adhar and your plan/balance will retain as it is… it will get activated in 1-2 hrs.

Bro, reassignment is on your luck. There is a grace period of 15 days. After that operator is free to reassign it to anyone.

It may get reassigned in 10 days and it may take 10 months. That is your luck.

Previously used to be really fast in responding.
I hadn’t recharged 2 nos. with nearly 500 balance each since 16th March and they weren’t deactivated until I finally recharged on 20th May.

Sim is damaged only,
In case of sim expiry phone shows sim but no network, “no sim” shows only when sim is damaged

call from other number if it says number is switched off it means sim damaged , go nearby store and take replacement sim
If it says number temporarily not available / not a valid number then forget it .

Airtel wale kyaa har company wale chor hai……agar sim kharab nhi hogi to sim replacement krvane ke paise nhi milenge in choroo kooo…….1month pahle meri voda ki sim bhi……network nhi dikhaa rhi thi kisi bhi phone mai…… Manually krne par failed to registered network aa rha thaa……maine kuch naa karke sim ko dusre phone mai lagaa kar chodh dia…..ek mahine baad apne aap network aa gye…..inko laga hoga sim replacement ka customer aa jayega……lakin thanks to lockdown and modiji jinhone mere 50rs bachaaa lie grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin joy joy joy
