So, guyz I have been using Jio fibre for almost 2yrs ,150mpbs plan. Speed was approx same for 1.5yrs but recently from 3-4 months getting speed aroudn 90-100mpbs only.
Airtel fibre is giving 200mps plan at the same rate of Jio 150mbps plan, So i switched from Jio to airtel on 7th May.
The problem here is all the sites are opening smoothly on all my devices as they used to open on JIo fibres Except my laptop,
Laptop is taking much time to to load websites like amazon, flipkart ,desdime and etc though Youtbe and Netflix are working fine as before.
Tried router restart,
tried laptop update
tried wifi reboot n passwd change n all,
None of the steps were of any help at all, Airtel fibre still lagging on Laptop but as soon as switvh t jiofbire wifi all sites are working smoothly,
Fed of this strange behaviour, had there been any prblem in my laptop, it would have shown same symtopms with Jio fibre
on the other hand if its Airtel fibre problem why is it working smoothly on all my smart devices.
Expert advice needed , Thanx is in Order 😊
Clean install of windows is what you might be needing.

Specs of laptop? Using which browser? Try disabling windows update and try again
the thing is its working fine with ji fibre and jionet even with airtel mobine hotspot
but with airtel fibre taking 10-12 seconds to even load desidime
change dns to one with lower ping
Install glasswire and see where the bandwith is going.
Or wifi card issue on your laptop.
R u connecting with lan wire or wifi, and do try with Firefox once as sometimes extension make google chrome very slow

Are you connecting to 5GHZ wifi or 2.4GHZ one? Make sure the dual mode is active in router settings and you are connecting to 5GHZ one.
If you are already using 5GHZ, are you using any repeater or use the laptop far away from router?

rakeshtvla wrote:brother i know that, getting differnt speed on both of them, but on laptop the problem is same, the problem is regarless of the speed as downlaoding max speed m getting is 24mb/sec, usrfing is the probem,
Both are of similar speeds? I find 5Ghz one offering the advertised speeds in Jio and Hathway, 2.4 one shows almost half of that. May be you should contact the customer service once.

Is any VPN service is on by default in any chance?
I think i can understand the reason behind this strange behavior of your laptop. Check signal strength of Airtel wifi (both 2.4 and 5 GHz), repeat it with jio fiber if possible. Then check website loading speed over LAN connection, if there is no issue with LAN then weak wifi signal is culprit here. Check and report here.
The problem is with airtel..

superb

Try clearing cache/temporary files of chrome browser and update chrome if any
Also clear temp files of your laptop, restart and try

Connect your mobile to your Airtel network and using that mobile, make a hotspot over Wi-Fi and connect to that mobile hotspot (if your mobile supports) otherwise try doing USB tethering via mobile(turn off laptop Wi-Fi) and see if that improves your browsing speed on laptop, if it does then there's some configuration problem in your Airtel router.

only problem is on my laptop, tried all the suggestion given above ,nothing workked so far, seems only option left now is to go back to jio fibre

they simply chekc the speed m getting via router.
The same issue happened once with my connection.
2-5 seconds to load simple webpage and downloads were just fine.
I adjusted antennas to 90 degrees facing upward and this resolved all those issues 😅
Could not figure out for straight two days before realising that antenna position is messed up and not in original state.

You can tell them to replace your router if they're denying to configure it. A friend of mine called them two or three times, initially they denied, later they replaced it, just give them some random reason like connection will disconnect and reconnect or any other reason ,worth giving a try. Before this if you have any other laptop, you can try in that first if it's still same in another laptop. Usually this gets resolved by itself, sometimes Airtel fibre acts weird.
