Purpose of Post is to Educate dimers about new modus operandi by FRAUDSTERS.
Today at 3:39 PM I received a call from +919830965949 , caller from other end said she is speaking on behalf of Jiomart marketing team & I am one of the 20 winners selected for Gift from Jiomart; I have to select any 1 gift from the following 5 gifts:-
a) Dell Laptop
b) Sony Bravia 43" inch 4k Smart TV
c) Iphone 12
d) Voltas A.C.
e) LG Refrigrator
Usually I don’t pickup unknown numbers but Today I did. Reason why I didn’t cut the call within 1 minute because “she clearly mentioned 2 items of my last order along with total order amount”
Speaking further she said in order to claim the gift I have to place an order of Rs.5,000/- on jiomart & they will provide 2,500/- as jiomart cashback as to verify that gift is claimed by actual winner only. I said them to provide me further details like: email from official id, social media post etc. of promotional offer/campaign. She said she will provide me what’s app message [SS attached with the post]. She started describing the details of each & every prizes & said I have to select anyone at that moment only & will have to place an order by telling them the items for Rs.5,000/- order. [& At this MOMENT I knew someone is messing with me]. I said that I will place an order on jiomart website but they said NO they will provide me link on my what’s app no. & I have to pay from that link. I said how can I verify that “Link will not be of any other person & how can I ensure that you are speaking on behalf of jiomart only” for the above question she said I know you must be thinking that we are doing fraud with you but that is not the case, we are providing you these gifts because it will increase our sales from word of mouth advertisement & said merchant name would be of JIOMART only. You can verify by clicking the link. [NEVER EVER OPEN ANY LINKS from unknown persons – is a MOST BASIC Info. which everyone should have]. But when I asked them Why you can’t verify my order from official jiomart website she said please talk to our senior she will explain in detail. Her senior said since it’s a promotional offer payment has to be made on specified link only. I started asking more questions about the link & my call was transferred again.
At last, after 27 minutes & transferring calls to >3 agents. I ended the call. After 2 minutes again received the call & they said due to network issue call was cut & whether I want to proceed further or NOT? & I said Definitely I will proceed further with CYBER COMPAINT. 😂
P.S. – Called them again regarding cyber complaint but call was forwarded & the person [another one] speaking on other end said to make complaint anywhere I want & said you have lost prize. He was so much confident that at one moment I was like what the HECK!!
Also, Not gonna lie at one moment I was like YEAH!!! Finally I have WON something BUT THANK GOD I was in my senses & saved myself from one of the fraud.
Attached what’s app message received from them. I will be forwarding this whole message to jiomart CC also. Checked number on truecaller no info was received other than location of number which is Kolkatta.

Which payment mode u used to pay If paid via CC raise chargeback, file cyber complaint….

The exact same thing happened with me today!
i got same call from +919432159047 number today. I shopped for 5000 inr. Later they asked to pay 12000 as GST bill of my gift. They talked too confidently & not fears of police complaint. Ridiculous is it. Please aware people like this type of fraud.

yes, i made a payment of 5405. But it’s not showing in my order. My hard earned money is lost. Bad day for me .
I too got carried away with their offer BUT got ALERTED when they asked payment on separate id/account; always ensure you make payment on official website/platform only..

Guys beware of this fraudsters, they have all the details of our purchases on Jio Mart including address.
Today I received a call from 086090 23085 almost immediately after doing online transaction on Jio Mart, she explained about the below offers and sent the details through what’s app number +91 95930 12738.
I immediately contacted Jiomart customer care number and enquired about the offer which obviously turned out to be fake.

I too got a call few minutes ago from a person saying they are calling from Jiomart, they said the product name which I brought recently and tried to convince me to buy products for 4999 so that I can win a gift(TV or Laptop or iPhone 12 or Double door fridge or AC). The caller told me to buy it from Jiomart website. I guessed this can be a spam to I informed I need to think and let them know, they said the offer expires in 30 mins and if I missed the chance it will move to next person i said I will confirm in 15 mins. I disconnected the call and called the Jiomart toll free number and investigated about this and got to know that it’s a spam call. When I searched about this scam in Google i saw many people reporting the same issue. Jiomart needs to keep the data secure of the customers information. Is it possible to raise any complaints related to this issue?

Received the same type of call from (+91) 7081522438. But, they identified themselves as Reliance Digital Operation Services. They knew what my last purchases from Reliance Digital were. How are they getting these details?
Got this scam call today .. but she cut the phone sensing i knew it was a scam as soon as i said if u want to give the gift give it why call and tell me... 
I got a similar call stating that they are from AJIO SALES AND PROMOTIONS AND I LOST AN AMOUNT OFRS 31998.99 THROUGH GOGGLE PAY FIRST 5000 IN THE NAME OF GIFT VOUCHER AND 12999.9 AND 12999.09 IN THE NAME OF GST.BOTH THE NUMBERS ARE FROM KOLKATA. I BELIEVED THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE AWARE OF ALL MY PURCHASE DETAILS AND ADDRESS.
