My amazon pay balance become zero, someone hacked and purchased google pay gift card, didn’t get message as well, contacted cc and got refund and enabled 2 step verification for my secondary account.please let me know what might be the root cause. Any app downloaded in mobile caused it?

Regular occurrence with many users, only Google Play gift cards are purchased. Amazon refunds if you complain. Only two step authentication can prevent it. Saving passwords in Google/ Browser could be a possible source. From there, 3rd party apps or website hidden scripts can steal it
