I am a Amazon Prime user since 6 years !

I have never faced any account fraud !

Today afternoon someone tried to transact on my Account!

I have received a message as follows from Amazon :

Verification code: 371980, valid for five minutes.

Luckily I have already enabled 2 – step verification system on my Account to prevent Fraud !

So i request everyone Prime user to enable 2-step verification on their. Account to prevent Fraud !

I remember I have ordered on Swiggy yesterday but already de-link my Amazon Account !

So someone Fraudster did this to get  used money !

So be alerted & Protect your Money wink

Its only bcoz of cookies in our browsers.. some apps will steal these cookies and developer/injector will make use of it !
So remember to clear all history (including cookies in any of your browsers as well as from your new devices) also cached data of your mobile phones once in a while.

Possible
Many pirated websites share cookie based logins for accessing websites (like primevideo, Netflix …)

Someone once logged into my account and bought gv of 100rs. Balance was 140 and hence he managed to buy it.
He literally logged into my account.
Asked cc to cancel the gv and refund amt. They also asked me to enable 2 step verification.
Luckily i saw thr gv generated mail and there was less money.
Changed password for all accounts after that 😉

Main thing is prime users give their details to lot of people and friends for prime video, account details spread like some viral news.

Cookies do magic here as told by @getready
Have you ever wondered,Once you login to one web browser, next time onwards it won’t ask username and password?
But same will not work for netbanking sites.
