Amazon found new reason for denying cashback :Be careful

Recently I done a online merchant transaction using Amazon Pay for which I was supposed to recieve cashback from Amazon.
Offer was applied successfully .
But I didn't get the cashback.
On checking with the cc team of AZ pay they told to wait for 24 hours.

Later they denied cashback saying

Not under Targeted customers segment

Who in the world would know at the time of payment while applying or availing offer whether he is under Targeted segment or not ??

Using this reason amazon can deny cashback to anyone of us.

So please be careful.

They are fooling customers to cover their technical failures.

@newmagic I never faced this issue with amazon though, their cc is useless, there might or might not be something like targetting.
Can name few SOPs- 
 1) Was the offer collected ?
 2 ) Was the payment made through amazon pay balance only ?
 3) Did you check the scratch card section as some cashbacks come there ?

A few years ago Amazon credited me double cashback (Rs 100 twice instead of once)! I contacted customer care and told them to reverse the mistaken entry. The customer care agent said "Thank you for contacting Amazon. Keep it" 😅

The same happened with me I ordered mobile phone recieved earphone free without any offer when connected they replied the same happened twice once I recieved mobile holder
