[Amazon Fraud] Delivered RedMi 11X Instead of One Plus 9 5G

Hello All,
My friend ordered a One Plus 9 5G phone from Amazon in the Great Indian Sale. Delivery boy delivered RedMi 11X which is at 20k lower cost.
My friend registered a complaint with the Amazon support team and they ended up blaming my friend saying this item was replaced by him.
My friend also visited Mulund Police Station but the police informed them they needed the delivery guy’s name and phone number to register FIR. As the number he received in the delivery message is IVR number.
He has created Twitter tweets for the same.

Will always keep it in mind to take unboxing video of everyone.
1. always have video evidence. Nothing can be proved without it.
2. What is mention on the invoice copy provided by seller? which phone?
3. Most likely it is goofed up by the seller
It “can” be. Albeit tedious, since the supply chain for the alleged wrong IMEI device needs to be backtraced (if court orders it).
As for the videography evidence..
People let things sit.. due to casual negligence, letting gift recipient open the packages themselves.
Sometimes others (domestic helps, older/unaware family members) too are allowed to or entrusted to do anything and everything with all incoming mail.
I, who at times asks the D.A
to even open measly data cable/ charging lead packages.. while i take video evidence.. cannot help but 
roll my eyes to people throwing caution to the winds for items with thousands of bucks as billed value.
The IMEI on invoice is same as Mi 11x one?
Police FIR is useless.. Amazon is the only source of help to your friend. Even if thee invoice IMEI is of OP9, Amazon can cross-check their inventory with the IMEI of the delivered Mi 11x
^^ If it matches with the unsold Mi 11×.. then it will be clear that they were at fault!
IEMI number is on warranty slip not on invoice bill
Try to file complaint in consumer court through 3rd party, just search in google. Once you pay the fee 600rs they will fite the case on behalf of you. Once the cases is over you will get reimbursement with extra amount, and you can pay few bucks extra to 3rd party service
Do you know trusted service provider?
3rd party seller, what else do you expect ?

It could be either carelessness or intentional, seems like this is going to be a tough case for the buyer to prove their innocence.

but why r u registering a complaint against delivery boy? what if its not his fault? police will harass him
he may or may not have stolen/changed the phone, consumer court is the better option
They are saying they need detail of any person from where they can start
Looks like tampered packet by delivery boy or a level up
but its a mobile so it will be solved, Amazon blocked account implies, there are similar cases in that area

Most probably it’s warehouse packing mistake. Deliberate attempt by seller can be ruled out since it’s Green Mobiles which is Amazon’s own alias seller.
It would be difficult to prove and convince them as there is no video evidence to rule out user tampering with package after delivery.
If there was any procedure like OTP should be given only after checking ID printed on package, then it will be a nightmare to get refund.
How and why Account got blocked after the delivery of the phone ?
Can you pls try to explain the story what your friend is hiding?
We are bound to bash Amazon/Delivery guy/Seller at first place when any product issue arises. But fail to get the other side of the story.
I am not saying that your friend is at doubt but be sure whom you’re helping. You might be not aware but can be possible too.
So just be sure from your friend’s side.
And nowadays it’s routine job to make a unboxing video of anything received from online.

Amazon informed to request video recording of boxing from Vendor.
Also package doesn’t look opened by delivery guy so most probably it’s seller who sent different mobile.
Yes Secure ID received in SMS is same as on packet.
He has ordered lot of stuff online including mobiles in same range but never faced issue. He stopped taking video long back and this time he is in trouble.
He is now checking with seller for video.
You have emails of your order id of OnePlus and if order id of mi11x and OnePlus is same you have proof already but it will take time you will have to follow up with them if they did it by mistake they will resolve it easily but if they (seller) has done it intentionally then it is gonna be hard to get your money pr phone back

Keep any proofs you have & send to them if they ask…Stop chasing Amazon & trying to file FIR also won’t help…File your complaint on Consumer Court & tell them that you want to file a complaint against Amazon for doing this fraud & make sure to tell them that, you have made Amazon aware about the fraud done by the seller but they still did not help you…Before contacting Consumer Helpline, talk to Amazon customer care again & have the call recorded but don’t tell them that you will go to Consumer Court & that you are recording the call…

Amazon return/refund policy keeps getting worse day by day for electronic items.
