Amazon ICICI Card + Paytm

Can anyone confirm if I use the Amazon ICICI Card to pay rent through Paytm.. will I get 1%CB from Amazon ICICI card?
If yes, then it will knockoff the charges levied by Paytm (1%) and make the transaction free??
Is it that simple or am I missing something here?

Yes, that works.
Actually get a Paytm Citi card. You will get 3% cashback directly in card. So, you don't even actually pay more. For 100 rupees, they charge 101, gives back 3 rupees on bill generation and u need to pay only 98.
