It’s started from yesterday. At first, I thought ok I should change it since another side account had the same password.
But when I tried to access my order status, it asks for password. After inputting correct password and otp from email, the new password page keeps on appearing!
I can’t seem to bypass it nor am I interested in making new passwords.
Tried talking to cc but they’ve no clue. I have 4 pending orders and about 561 wallet balance.
Is this a sign of someone trying to hack??

If it’s your main account, try with the mobile app, else try to get the right sets of parameters (web) for the account.
Amazon sometime insist on password change if any suspicious activities detected.

its my main account with prime but I just changed the password yesterday only.

Do you have other accounts in main space?
main account is from direct app. Side account is opened from parallel (the one that had same password with main account). Since it was same password, I changed main account’s password yesterday as amazon kept on opening new password page.
Try this:
1. Logout from all devices (if there is an option somewhere within Amazon account to do this, logout from there)
2. Deregister all unnecessary/old device from within Amazon account
3. Clear cookies/cache/history on all browsers/apps from all devices.
4. Now login again and observe

checked 3rd party access from the side account on parallel.
had swiggy, 1 mg, bookmyshow.
all removed now

So, don’t worry.. it’s no hack but safety measures from Amazon to secure your accounts.
1. Use the main account in app/ browser in the primary space.
2. Use the secondary one in chrome browser (parallel space) and don’t logout.
In this way I’m sure you won’t be asked for password change.
PS: It doesn’t matter if you have same pw or not but it’s not recommended.
Do try and confirm.

Did everything but amazon is stubborn.
This keeps on popping up
“Password reset required
Please set a new password for your account that you have not used elsewhere. We’ll send a One Time Password (OTP) to authenticate this change.

I’ll do a new password, although its a pain to remember new passwords.
