I’m getting pre approved kind of banner for Amazon Pay ICICI Bank Credit Card on Amazon App which says You are eligible for a Credit Card Upgrade. 100% digital application & no income proof required.
Does above banner mean it’s pre approved?
My current scenario:
Had never applied for any loan & CIBIL was Zero / Credit History Not Available (NA) until I got Amazon Pay Later 2 months back just for purpose of creating CIBIL score. I had previously applied Ola Money SBI Credit card in June 2020 & rejected due to no credit history.
Today I check my CIBIL & found that Amazon Pay Later details have been updated & also my score is 769 now instead of NA/ZERO previously.
I have made couple of small pay later transaction & cleared payment of around 500 & 1000 to show it as regular payment.
My city is not in serviceable pin code but now that KYC is digital it shouldn’t be issue I guess.
Employment status is self employed & ours being family business major returns are filed under elders name. My individual returns are average just floating around the basic exemption limits each year.
Do you think if this is actually pre approved kind of offer basically for using Amazon Pay Later regularly for couple of months and will not make any hard CIBIL inquiry or just marketing tactics & it will rely upon CIBIL, Employment status, income documents for processing.
Finally should I apply & take chances of hard inquiry dipping my CIBIL score as it’s just in initial phase or wait for sometime to get CIBIL near around 800 before applying or have much strong ITRs?

Its fake, ultimately doc collection agent will demand income proofs, office mail id…

I had applied from same banner (no documents/KYC done)..but I had ICICI platinum credit card…in your case you had Amazon pay latter history
Sure. Icici platinum user’s get shared limit for Amazon Pay CC & are mostly issued based on it.
I have once icici credit card saved on account, but that’s not mine. May be banner refers to that as upgrade or pay later it could be.
Will probably apply & see.
No ITR?
No, it isn’t fake. I have applied for the card around a month back. The agent just asked me for aadhar and a pan card. We don’t need income proof for this amazon credit card. Also, I didn’t have any official office mail id. I have been asked for an office email id while registering for the card online, however, I had a Gmail for my office purpose as I work in a startup. So I have given the same gmail id. My card got approved with a limit of 80k.
Did you reply using the personal email id? and what happened then?
No income documents were needed. All that they ask is for an original aadhar and pan card. That’s it. I have received my card almost a month back.
one of my friend had received the pre-approved the card without any cibil history that too in may 2019 when this card was rare to get.
I have SBI card and I received this offer…I applied for it 3 days back.. KYC appointment schedule was for 26 dec today from 12.30- 1 pm by Manipal who got contract from Amazon. No one came till now…When I called the person..he said I am out of station and have stopped doing KYC. Amazon is not helping me..they r saying reschedule again..new date is after days…I have not rescheduled yet…What kind of joke service they are providing.
