Don't forget that even most half educated grocery or fish wallas are more skilled in mental maths than an average college passout.
So there's always a benefit of doubt...

Hey looks like Amazon has launched FD & Mutual Funds in partnership with Kuvera. They are giving two offers now
1) On booking first Axis bank FD through Amazon Pay with a minimum investment of 5k and tenure 1 year you get a Rs 200 Amazon Pay gift card. Essentially on a 5k investment your 1 year return could be effectively 9.75% (5.75% + 4% (200/5000)). However, note that the gift card will be sent directly by Axis bank within 3 months of offer ending date which is July 31st.
2) On redeeming any fund purchased through Amazon pay you can transfer the redeemed amount into Amazon pay gift card and get 1% extra. So effectively you get 1% better return. Useful if you plan to make large ticket purchases on Amazon and don't have a good credit card.
You can access this only from Amazon app and not from their desktop site.
You need to go to Pay FROM Amazon app and then go to Insure and Invest section and click on FD & Mutual Funds icon. Then proceed to their investment page and book the fixed deposit. You will also see offer banners there and when you book an Axis bank FD, you will see this in terms and conditions as well. They can do a better job in clarifying terms and conditions upfront though.
I see only Axis Bank among well known banks for now.
Why, have all others gone to sleep?
Yeah that's true but they also have Bajaj, which is not a bank but probably better than most of the smaller banks like equitas etc.. Also bajaj is offering 7.5% interest + 0.25% for senior citizens. Wish they had some offers on Bajaj fds as well. I would also like to see some more options, I guess they will add eventually.
