Those having ICICI APay card will affect the most and maybe the main reason for this price hike.
Moreover , additional benefits for mobile purchase like screen replacement is given to prime account holders only so those buying 15K- 20K+ mobile will definitely buy it .
I don’t watch movies on Prime Video, only use it for free shipping.
I generally buy 1 month subscription when big sale comes however always buy above 500 amount item so never actually needed. Next big sale will be around 26th Jan so that time I will buy 1 month subscription .
Shipping speed in normal. Few product delivers next day due to warehouse in my city otherwise takes 2-3 days atleast even with prime account.
So it will not matter much for me.
Can We renew earlier.
Mine expires November end but i still don’t see any option to pay ahead.

I went through my valuable resources.
And I found that as if customer recharges now the pack will stat counting from this month only.
These is not any option regarding if you will recharge now and then this pack starts when your existing plan expires.
If you get answer to this kindly update me too. Mine is expiring in May next year. Sigh….
I had renewed recently this month… Next renew will depends on the offers or the cashbacks they provide…. Otherwise it will be totally waste..

My membership ending 4th November. But I see no option to renew in advance. Enjoying prime membership from last 3 years for 499 only through Youth offer. Now I’ve crossed 24 age let’s see what happens.
if one is using hdfc card,he can always get 5% via smart buy,then prime membership is not really required given that usually, we order stuff more than 499(even things are cheaper in local market nowadays). for prime video a/c can be shared.
I’m thinking what to do.
My Prime membership expiring on February however I have another Youth account with no Prime subscription where I can subscribe and get 500 cashback however 4 months subscription is loss then 
Check your usage pattern, if most of the shopping/high value txns concentrated in sale months(Oct/Nov) then just buy 1/3 month prime around that time assuming you don’t often use prime video/music.

2) Extra 10% off on diaper subscription (useful for family people having kids)
Amazon Music is much better than Gaana (for example) which keeps bombarding with shit features even if disabled.
Amazon Prime Video has a lot of good original content if people are into that and now has also brought back DC shows.
People saying we can download music/shows/books should understand that its piracy and amazon gives a lot of value for the prime membership they charge for. Agreed increase in price is not a good move and they will loose a lot of prime customers. For people not using too much of amazon music or prime video or books, it makes sense to buy 1-3 months on need basis only.
