Amazon Renewed and Certified Refurbished Questions
I saw some Renewed laptops at good prices. Some of them were Unboxed while others Certified Refurbished. My questions:
1. If the laptops are problematic, does amazon just replace or also provide a refund if problem persists even after replacement? These are expensive items and amazon may very well refuse to honor the return policy. Any experience?
2. I understand the Unboxed ones but not sure about the condition of Certified Refurbished sold as Renewed in case of current/latest models. Are these the ones with things such as broken keys, screen, heating issues, missing parts etc? Any experience?

1. Replace/Refund based on availability
But high valued returns/replacements are not good for account health
2.These could be unused/broken/faulty units..there are not manufacturer refurbished products (No QC at all..by Appario)

Here are the rules I follow for renewed products
1. If seller is Appario then chances are high that these are just returned products sold back as renewed. Amazon isn’t into procuring renewed products from other sources and sell them so they just sell whatever products have been returned to them in return window
2. Check quantity and get one only if availability is 1 or 2 items. When the product goes out stock and you find it defective, the only option you get is to return and get refund, no option of replacement. So good thing is that, even if you don’t like the product you can return and get refund this way.
Main thing is warranty from seller not from brand
I had myself taken a renewed laptop and it is working fine as it should no scratches no dents all keycaps intact and I also checked it from inside too it is as new.
I still have 10 months of warranty left and I saved about 20k.

No experience, but recommend not to go for renewed/refurbished laptop.
