my card is 4 month old…i ddnt receive any email/SMS for such offer..however i have filled card info in the link provided by @wackophant ..got email that thank you for applying LTF smartearn card as companion…lets see

Received card today..
Registered as a new user..
after several hours i tried first payment which is adding money to paytm wallet..
but am still getting the error transaction declines and even the payment page is not displayed..
but MRCC still goes to the payment page..
any idea whether there is a cooling period after the card is activated?

Edit: Tried adding 2.5K to amazon and it was success. But paytm still says Transaction Declined’

I don’t think any cooling period is there. Try tomorrow again. I just now placed an order in Flipkart to check and it went smooth.

i tried today but same transaction declined msg.
i then tried to add this card into the saved card list and it was successfully with a 1rs debit to my card..

i was trying with 10k as i dont want to loose the 2% upto 200cb add to negate the 2% charges on add money..

because points earned by smartearn card can be used while MRCC points redemption.
Amex will maintain single account for reward points and will be accumulated across all Amex card variants.
so, you’ll redeems from the card variant which gives you the max reward rate.

So 2*10=20 mr points from flipkart.
With 18k GK redemption and point value of 0.375 it still comes 7.5%

Cooling period for new cards is true. There’s a limit of 1500 or 2000rs I think.

i dint see any such feature in Amex, also i searched for paytm and amex cooling periods. could not find any.

Tried with 5K today as my offer 2% cb upto 200 vanished from paytm account and a new offer 2% upto 100 came..

anyway the transaction was success..So there is a cooling period of 48 hours it seems..
