Bhai logo…. at present, I have been using DEN HD Box which is costing me Rs.620/per month for all the channels. We do not watch much TV Channels now-n-days. We have Fiber Connection with 300 mbps speed. So I was thinking of getting rid of HD Box and purchasing a Android Box or something like this.. need your valuable suggestions 
- Is there any Android Box ( or any other thing ), where I can install JIO and watch channels in HD Quality?
- Anyone with Voice Command Remote / Google Assistant would be more useful.
- It will be used be wife as well so it should be simple in use… not very technical.
Any suggestions / comments are highly appreciated

This is what some reviews say – You can use thop tv in thop tv due to copyright issues jio tv is named as jasmine tv , and only download thop tv for android tv and side load in your device
This comment if based on purely my observations and experience:
Jio TV does not work on Android Box (its kind of hit nd miss) Earlier versions used to work, but they stopped after few days, now it asks login.. and I said its hit and miss..
Even if it works, UI is not that intuitive for android Box(Big screen) Mouse is needed.
Jio TV + (which is extracted from Jio set top box) needs an active Jio plan of 999 or above
Others can add their own experience..

Having JIO TV, the idea was so watch normal channels, if anybody wants to see anytime.
Is there any other way to watch normal TV Channels without fee?
Or I should go with SonyLiv, Color TV et. etc. subscriptions? But if I do this, it will be cost effective and I need to keep on switching the Apps while TV Channels are convenient and doesn’t need broadband 
Buy a firestick. You are currently paying 620×12 i.e. about 7.5K per year. Even if you take all subscriptions at full value, total subscription cost will still be less than 5K. And you can further reduce cost by Timesprime/Flipkart coins etc. You already have a broadband so no additional cost on that account.
You will need Hotstar, Sonyliv, Zee5 and Voot.
I’ve used smart TV’s, firestick, but still normal DTH connections gives the most satisfaction. Even with a fast internet I struggle to use these.

I knew i won’t be paying money for each each when TRAI implemented the new rule. Bought this box directly from China in 2k19 and it’s almost 2 years everything is just working fine. No cable tv no dish no issues whatsoever.

Update: Been to a mi service center as my Mi Box 4k stopped working (doesn’t switch ON)
Got to know that.. there is no repair/service for these Android Boxes/Sticks. (They don’t even have a spare adapter /remote to test basic things)
They are only offering replacement within warranty(Instant if they have it instock*) and if the device is out of warranty, there’s nothing we/they can do about it :/
I guess.. same is the case with Fire TV Sticks too so it is better to upgrade these items before the warranty expires

Did they replace yours? Your still Under 1 yr warranty? It’s mad that we need to approach 3rd party local repair shops if it’s out of warranty.
