Annual fee waiver for SBI IRCTC Rupay credit card?

SBI was aggressively promoting this card last year with offers like zero joining fees and free Amazon voucher. Many people (including me) got this card approved easily. Unfortunately, this card has annual fee of Rs. 300 with no spend-based waiver. Most of those who got it last year must be up for renewal now.
Was anyone able to get the annual fee waived/reversed? Any tips/tricks to do so?
I don’t really use this card, but would like to keep it as it’s my only SBI/Rupay credit card.

Yo, RuPay credit card also offered on Bigbasket, Bookmyshow, Swiggy, Uber etc
Use or sell the offer to other user and charge Rs50 to Rs100 commission
Annual fee will easily recover.
Try asking them to close the card , maybe they’ll make it ltf. Or they may close your card without trying to retain you.
I was holding this card. Only option is if you ask for card closure then they will offer you reversal of this fee. In my case they closed my card and annual fee reversed. Later on I had requested credit balance refund. So just say like you are in mood of closing the card not actually so might they offer you reversal option.
I’ve written to SBI Card. I hold SBI Rupay credit card and have crossed 1 lakh debit transactions in the past 1 year.
Will update here.
Reply received. They did not offer reversal. I am not happy.
So just now I called the customer care and there the lady offered reversal as I had spend over Rs. 1 lakh in the last 1 year.
She said it will reflect within 4 days.
@mango try calling the customer care
IS there a way to see the total spends of SBI Card in last one year without downloading and adding last 12 statements
In pdf statement they show how much is left to reach milestone of 1 lac (this is for simply click card)
I have sbi fbb card… Just want to close but there customer care service is worst.. not able to connect with any customer care representative for card closer.. what is the other way to close my SBI cc
Your sbi fbb card is RuPay or Visa ?
There’s no spend based waiver for this card; we gotta pay 300+gst annually; However, the way I see it is that if you have used this card even once in a year for a bank specific sale of 10% off which generally has cap of 1.5K, then you easily cancelled out the fee; Obviously would have loved the annual waiver, but sadly no as of now.
