The claims are handled by the individual insurance company. I have tried Policybazaar few times, never had any problem to get proper policy papers. I have tried New India Assurance, Edelweiss and HDFC-Ergo .. all were properly tracked on the corresponding insurer sites.

PB is just like the local car dealer who sends somebody to renew the car policy. However PB has a bad tendency for spam calls, I had to complain on twitter and stop their calls..

My friend purchased a policy from policybazar for his scross, royal sundaram it was i guess, he had very bad experience, as the policy shows on policy bazar and not in the royal database.

He got to know this when he took claim and the surveyer said their wass no such policy exists.

So we tagged on twitter and somehow they processed the claim.

Same thing repeated when he went to claim second time..

So as per him experience was not goof.

What matter is just which insurance company are you choosing

I always choose 1 of 3

New india insurance, oriental and future generalli... never had any experience in claim... got 3 claims out of 4 insurance...

Avoid, never purchase any policy from the policy Bajar, I purchased the HDFC Egro Health Insurance at that time told the premium increases at the age of 35 yr, but on renewing the policy premium is doubled from 11K to 22K, then I contacted HDFC and Policy no one can help, and HDFC told me if purchase from our site/directly we are helping but the third party not

So, I have requested never to purchase any policy from policy Bajar or any third party directly go with the company website or agent,

Never buy any HDFC Health insurance due to premium increases any time not given on paper commitment.

Me too curious about this, Everyone says acko is good in claim settlement, so I have gone with it but don't know for sure.

I haven't made any claim from any insurance firm from the last 10 years i suppose so i don't know their support (be it be insurance companies/policy bazar or Acko).

Only when you process for your claim you'll get to know more about them but afaik reviews are good, prices are competitive and i've seen them growing too in the past few years. It's not easy to compete with Policy Bazar who has humongous database.

Our car is also insured through Acko itself (I've my few checks which i always look out while renewing) and if any firm is getting me all the services at a resonable price i shortlist them and decide accordingly.

Godigit and Acko have marginal premium difference. Check with Acko whether they are able to provide you zero dep cover as an add-on. If the premium are lower than Godigit, go with acko else stick with Godigit provided Godigit is giving zero dep cover on renewal too.

I have taken claim from godigit in past and they are good in terms of service. Now I am currently with Acko.

How is Chola MS , I have 2018 reg i10 sport AT and chola MS is giving cheapest via policybazaar.com , since Its a second hand card need to select 0% NCB. Chola MS with Zero dep and Consumables addon is coming around 9.9k .. Same with Acko Zero dep super saver plan , but the problem with Acko is if we repair in non preferred garage need to pay additional 5k

I had a good experience with Acko. Did two claims and process is smooth. They don't have a tie up with the Hyundai Service center in my place and had to go for reimbursement. Acko coordinated with the service center for inspection and repair.
