want to watch tv channels in tv(not a smart one) via any device or something like firestick/chrome cast etc.
I have 8mbps unlimited broadband connection at home and can also double the speed if required

I use Chromecast
My requirements are all sony channels and you tube.
All these are free currently and can be cast smoothly.
You can also watch hindi news channels from hot star for free. Hot star has more content for paid subscribers.
Zee also has an app OZEE but haven’t used.
With Chromecast you can also stream and video from chrome browser.
Amazon prime video still doesn’t support casting.
Bought the device for around 2.7k, disconnected DTH since 8+ months.

Enjoy while it lasts.
You will need a good internet connection, i have a 50Mbps plan and never had buffering issues. Not sure whats the minimum speed for good streaming.
