Before anything else check how much transparent the company is and what its promoters/mgmt is doing in terms of their personal wealth and their new ventures. It has become tough to trust any company now. A decade back they wanted to bring the IPO of BSNL and now they are talking about shutting it. Big banks are facing corporate governance issues, funds being diverted. Less debt, more promoter holdings might be a place to start with. I feel gone are the those days where long term always gave good returns. It’s now ride the bull and get off when things are not looking good even if the returns are less. Everything is a personal opinion and don’t hold me to anything I have said
