To watch 360° videos and few VR games.
At first it's fun, later not much.
Done this to get inside skyrim world , swrved purpose well along side loverlab mod for fun
I own an Oculus Rift CV1, it's nothing like phone VR lol. It's like comparing a Hot Wheels car vs a real car. The Quest 2 is great even if you don't already own a gaming PC but I'd recommend waiting for the Quest 3 in October.
me 2 got mi vr in 1rs after using few minutes sold it on olx .it puts too much pressure on eyes
...my kids love these sets....play scary movies or entertainment videos....
Used HMDs since 1999-2000.
First ever I used was Glasstron https://www.sony.com/en/SonyInfo/News/Press_Archive/199809/98-101
Then many came and went.
LG, Sony and another European vrand made good ones with Japanese colab.
Now not in the mindframe of recreational use of such gizmos.
My partner and her business partner are into landscaping, architecture, other projects.
On and off use the augumented reality headsets and in Europe, for cliwnts to be shown a glimpse of possible alternatives, even full fledged VR options to helped.
Used the X-box of cousin and another friend 's Playstation and other consoles to play indoor golf and other sports via the PS VR.
It is good for watching some documentaries or nature videos too.
But for watching normal 3D content, engaging movies.. I'd prefer Televisions or large screen projection with some similar tech as these Asus screens with head ad eye tracking cameras
(as oppossed to using Head Mounted Displays).

It can sometimes be nerve wrecking to manage the same, as they turn teenagers.
Usually, whatever morals we try to inculcate in first 13-15 years, seriously start getting tested as they mingle with others in the society.
The hormones and the body still learning how to regulate production, use of those hormones.. can wreck havoc not just for the teens, but even those who are their guardians.

When I purchased my mobile, its box came with VR box and lens which becomes VR headset. I watched a few videos on VR but there was a strain in my eyes a couple of times after watching the video for more than 15 minutes, after that I never used a VR headset.
Got a cardboard VR for free from a newspaper TOI if im not wrong long ago ,used it for some 360° videos,Cinemas but it puts a lot of strain so havent used it in a while.
