Applying for first credit card as a salaried employee

Hi.
Just got my first job after completing my Bachelors. I opened my salary account with HDFC. Since RBI has put a temporary ban on HDFC on issuing of cc, I am finding it difficult to get my first cc.

I’ll be earning Rs.33,500/month. I looked up online and from the few articles which I have read, it seems I can only get secured card. Is there any way I could unsecured credit card even when I am earning just 33.5k/ month?

I also do not have any cc history/score. I do not want secured cc. I also am only looking for lifetime free cc.
