I was told by axisfk cc exec that all cards , dont need pin/otp till 2k.

Is that true ?

Can i deactivate that feature ??

I think there is regulation by RBI to provide option of setting transaction limit, disabling tap and pay etc.
And According to me only tap and pay upto 2000 can be done without otp/pin

Icici,sbi personally tested.there is an option to disable transactions as per your needs.

Ok I get it what you are trying to say but I have seen many merchants who pass on the card reader machine to customer only at the pin entering stage at which point you can’t see the transaction amount.

I have disabled contactless payment for both ICICI card and DBS card from the mobile apps. When the shopkeeper asks, I simply ask him to initiate charge normally in the machine and then let me enter the pin.

contactless feature also dont need pin/otp till 2k. Recently Visa/mastercard told to RBI, Indian Visa/mastercard customers demand to increase the limit to upto 5k.
