Ashwin is in second spot among players who have achieved double of a century and a five-for in a Test behind Ian Botham who did it five times in his 102-Test career – twice each in England and New Zealand, and once in India. Four allrounders have achieved this feat two times – Garry Sobers, Mushtaq Mohammad, Jacques Kallis, and Shakib Al Hasan.

Ashwin constantly keeps fine tuning his game. Great century on a tough pitch.

He is a craftsman. Let him focus on test alone. He is a legend there. I don’t think so we should try him for LOI’s. Even if he is good, we need him more for test. I would never risk our best spinner to play LOI’s where we actually already have good spinners.

Keeping the same philosophy, kholi should only be reserved for blues, as he is master there. I guess spinner and batsman can play across all formats.
